Donald Trump could soon be facing additional indictments from the Department of Justice, The Independent reports.

The DOJ has made preparations for a “superseding indictment,” which are additional charges that may include allegations of more serious crimes against a defendant, according to the report, which cites sources familiar with the matter.

Andrew Feinberg writes for The Independent that "Prosecutors are now prepared to 'stack' an 'additional 30 to 45 charges' on top of the 37-count indictment brought against Mr Trump on 8 June. They would do so using evidence against the ex-president that has not yet been publicly acknowledged by the department, including other recordings prosecutors have obtained which reveal Mr Trump making incriminating statements."

Prosecutors are prepared to hit Trump and his allies with new charges

Additionally, it is understood that Mr Smith’s team is ready to bring charges against several of the attorneys who have worked for Mr Trump, including those who aided the ex-president in his push to ignore the will of voters and remain in the White House despite having lost the 2020 election.

One of those figures is Mr Trump’s erstwhile personal attorney, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Earlier this month, The Independent reported that Mr Meadows had given evidence before a Washington DC grand jury under Mr Smith’s supervision as part of an agreement that would see him eventually plead guilty to lesser federal charges in exchange for his testimony against Mr Trump and other figures.

It is understood that the ex-congressman has signed an agreement with the Department of Justice which memorialises his obligations to cooperate with any prosecution against Mr Trump or others in the ex-president’s orbit in exchange for consideration that will spare him considerable legal jeopardy.

I was wondering about this possibility a few weeks ago.

It's not what charges may be made.
It's what convictions may be achieved.

It only takes one idiot trumpanzee on each jury to prevent any of them.
There's our real problem.

I know how easy it is to hang a jury because I've done it myself...twice.
Never got called for jury duty again after the second time.

It appears that Rudy is ready to sing, which will not be good for Trump.

Prosecuting Trump won't rescind his court appointments, unfortunately.

Even if they draw and quarter the pigfucking orangutan,
he's already done the serious damage that he wanted to do.

Shouldn't we spend more time figuring out what to do about that?
The country will still go down the toilet with Trump in a cage.

Can he just hand out the pitchforks and torches already? It's that obvious, but pitchforks and torches with mob justice is more entertaining...

The Revolution has completely failed to generate violence from the enemies of the Revolution....look for false flag operations claiming to be violent in support of Trump.

The Revolution is desperate, they need violence to justify an unconstitutional mass crackdown on their enemies using the military and other federal agencies such as DOJ and Homeland Security.

I hope Jack Smith can indict Trump for the Jan 6th insurrection and the fake electors, and any GOP lawmakers who may have been involved in this too?!!

Are you saying Jack Smith is corrupt along with the DOJ and FBI, Terry? Please speak clearly and openly.

So? They should supply it if they can't foment it.

Not so much as he's part of a cabal that is doing everything it can to persecute--correct word--Trump. If Hunter Biden et al were getting this sort of minute pickaninny treatment I wouldn't have a problem. But that's not the case. It's obvious, polling shows that the public-at-large knows it's obvious, and aren't buying the difference in treatment. If Trump did 37 felonies, sobeit. Hunter committed a whole raft of obvious felonies and gets nothing. Fix that then get back to me with this.
