Israel government heads for a fall while struggling with new covid crisis

This week, the virus again started lurching out of control. Tuesday, Dec. 1, saw 1,227 new cases, the highest since mid-October. A massive five-day shopping binge in 15 reopened malls was a glaring testament to the ministers’ latest bungled decision and the inevitability of a third lockdown.

It is up to PM Netanyahu to table the 2021 state budget by Dec. 23, or else the government falls. It is up to alternate prime minister Gantz to decide whether his segment of Kahol Lavan awards his erstwhile co-leader Yair Lapid a majority for the motion to dissolve the Knesset on Wednesday.

Gantz Says Will Vote to Bring Government Down

Defense Minister and Blue and White leader Benny Gantz effectively put an end to his long-troubled coalition with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu‏‏ and the Likud on Tuesday night.

In a strongly worded speech, Gantz said that his party will vote in support of a non-confidence bill sponsored by Opposition leader Yair Lapid on Wednesday, which would disperse the Knesset and lead to elections.

Unfortunately for Netanyahu- and Trump- Iran did not immediately fly into military fury at the cold-blooded murder of one of its leading intelligentsia.
An American attack on Iran has long been urged by the racist, Netanyahu, and the assassination was the most recent in a series of illegal and degenerate killings perpetrated against Iranians by both Izrael and the United States. Such a war is still possible, before Trump's ass hits the Rose Garden lawn, but very difficult if Iran does not provide the excuse. Now the fall of Netanyahu's government makes further warmongering even more difficult- but that does not mean that both Netanyahu and Trump will not dare to cause further chaos on their way out. Fascists thrive on war.

However, the world will breath a sigh of relief if these two monsters and their cohorts can be contained until their power is stripped from them. The fall of Izrael's government is very good news for sane men and women.

Netanyahu’s rival says Israeli PM ‘only working to save himself from trial’ as country might hold FOURTH election in 2 years

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said his party will back a bill to dissolve the Knesset and send the country into its fourth election in just two years, as a shaky coalition with PM Benjamin Netanyahu continues to unravel.
The minister and lawmaker said on Tuesday that his party, Blue and White, would support an opposition-crafted bill to dissolve parliament, accusing Netanyahu of reneging on a two-year budget plan that he accepted as part of a unity government deal struck earlier this year. Support from Blue and White would provide the votes needed to pass the measure.

“Blue and White will vote tomorrow for the dissolution of the Knesset. Netanyahu did not lie to me – he lied to you,” Gantz said in a tweet, calling the PM’s refusal to pass the budget an “unforgivable economic attack” on Israelis.

Israel backs preliminary bill to disband parliament, paving way for the fourth election in 2 years

Israeli politicians have passed a proposal to dissolve parliament and hold early elections in 2021 after the opposition slammed Benjamin Netanyahu's management of the coronavirus pandemic.
On Wednesday afternoon, Lawmakers voted 61-54 in favor of dissolving the 23rd Knesset, which would trigger the fourth election in just two years if enacted.

The two dispersal bills that were approved in a preliminary reading must pass three more times in the assembly in order to become law and dissolve parliament.
