Democrats hold 4 point lead over Republicans on generic congressional ballot: poll

Democrats are leading Republicans by 4 percentage points on a generic congressional ballot, according to a new poll.

A Politico-Morning Consult poll released Wednesday found 46 percent of registered voters would choose the Democratic candidate compared to 42 percent who would choose the Republican if the election for Congress was held in their district today.

My unsolicited advice to Republicans is to do as little as possible to remind the American electorate that the GOP is the party of Trump.

I feel that right now the sane Republicans are walking on egg shells, and yes I see your point.

You've been told a Red Wave is coming?

It's more like a crime wave carried out by Donald Trump has already swept the country- and we are still seeking Justice for Donald Trump and his cronies treasonous crimes!

Did you see that Alex Jones is the latest to turn on Trump? He's prompting DeSantis now.

Who's next to turn on Trump? His wife, Melanoma?

I believe that right now it's the beginning of the end of Trump; it's clear that Trump's influence of this country's politics is starting to crumble.

I have been offered practically ironclad guarantees by some Trumpsters on this board that Dems are staring into the abyss of a 2010 style blood bath.

The Congressional polls in 2010 generally showed the Republicans leading on the generic ballot by 10 to 15 percent.

Well, consider the source of the information.

Trump has turned the 2022 election into a referendum on himself again.

The last time that happened- DONALD TRUMP HAD TO GO TO THE BATHROOM AND GRAB HIMSELF A CRYING TOWEL!

And he is still crying about it. YES! Trump was already rejected by the VOTING MAJORITY! WE'LL BE HAPPY TO SHOW HIM THE DOOR AGAIN!

They say, when you lose, and you keep doing the same things that led to your defeat, you should never expect positive results the next time.

TRUMPTY DUMPTY HAD A BIG FALL! AND ALL OF THE TRUMPTARDS WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO PUT HIM BACK TOGETHER AGAIN!

November is a long way off, but I am going to hold jpp conservatives to their ironclad guarantees that November will be an absolute bloodbath, a Red Tsunami, 50 or more House seats flipped and total GOP domination of the Senate.

That's pretty unprecedented ("unpresidented" lolol) for a mid-term election. Keep up the good work, (D)s!

Dems need to make this election a referendum on Trump, on reproductive rights, and on their accomplishments as the most legislatively productive congress of the 21st century.

Perhaps they were referring to the red wave about to flood our prison system

Meanwhile fivethirtyeight.com today has Democrat chances of keeping control of the Senate at 63 percent. Before the SC killed Roe and the televised Jan. 6 hearings it was a 50/50 race.

The problem is gerrymandering that favors the Republicans means they can get 40% of the vote and still get 60% or more of the House seats in many states.
