It's Pence!

ill hate it if its pence but maybe its not meant to appeal to nationalists like me who are already behind trump anyway. I would still like gingrich but maybe this will drive more turnout from the social conservatives.

It feels like a defensive pick over an aggressive one though which is another reason why i dont like it.

Oh Pence is a favorite of the anal retentive religious conservative. Hate Pence? It's kind of hard to hate an unsalted cracker. Conversely it's hard to love one too. Pence is a perfect choice for Trump. Pence is very popular with the Tea Party and Conservative Christian coalitions. He is also a Midwesterner and that is the region where Trump really needs to shore up his support as most of the important swing States are in the Great Lakes region.

Pence is a competent attorney, bright and media savy. Pence was a practicing attorney who got into the right wing A.M. talk radio thing in Southern Indiana back in the early 90's and built up quite a following. He leveraged that into a political constituency and ran for an eastern Indiana House seat and won back in 2000. In 2006 Pence made a gambit for the house leadership and was, crushed by a Buckeye...John Boehner. Subsequently Pence managed to get himself elected Governor of Indiana where he's done a fantastic job of alienating the business community by taking dumb assed public stands on loser social issues that hurt business. He has also been on record for some real stupid mysogenistic comments. Remember when Tina Fey was talking about white men in $10 haircuts mansplaining politics to her? She was talking about Pence.

I mean interesting pick. Trump is doubling down. Pence is not a man who is liked by women. He's arrogant, tone deaf and abrasive. He had a long running war with an elected female Chair of the State Board of Education in which he lost most of the battles. He even had women in his State so pissed at him that they were posting on his blog monthly to describe their periods to him. I mean this guy is hard core not liked by women.

Pence is definitely a SOP for the Tea Partiers and the Evengelical part of the base. Pence also has serious chops as a DC insider. Pence's biggest drawback is the almost visceral dislike for the man vast numbers of women have. He's not to popular in the LGBT crowd either.

One thing Trump won't have to worry about is Pence's personality eclipsing the Donald as Pence doesn't have one.

Like hell it is. It's a SOP to the tea baggers and the holy rollers. Pence may be a DC insider but he's definitely not establishment. Just ask Boehner. It was Pence faction in congress that brought Boehner down. Pence is radically antiestablishment. That's why he's a good fit for the Donald. Trump aint exactly Mr. Congeniality either.

I don't think that's true at all. Ya'll need to read up on Mr. Pence. I think he's a great match for Trump. He says some of the same stupid shit as Trump.

Naaa, Pence isn't an establishment guy. In fact Pence has played a significant role in bringing down the current GOP establishment.

as this happens over and over again more and more people will just throw up their hands and say deal with however you like just deal with it. I hope that day happens before more attacks.
 
sad. although im mature enough to realize the pick wasnt meant to appeal to me. Hopefully it drives the regular base turnout.
 
This clusterfuck of an announcement and choice illustrates how incompetent Trump is and how incompetent any team he puts together will be.

Trump, on the other hand, we might be talking about the Peter Principle. He may have met his highest level of incompetence as the CEO of a real estate company.
