I wouldn't necessarily call it "deep state" but the Steele dossier, CIA involvement, ingrained republicans , FBI investigating Trump for "russian collusion" with the obvious intent of reversing the '16 election are examples of an attempt at a soft coup. It was non-stop even before Trump's inauguration. Call it what you want.

A specious argument. Reversing the election would require that Hillary be installed as President. No one was attempting to do that after Trump was declared the winner. If Trump would have been removed from office the Constitution would have dictated his successor as being the Vice President, Mike Pence. That is not a coup attempt by any definition.
Trump only told 30,000 plus lies in 4 years. He is beneath contempt. He lied about everything and what he did in the dark will come out. It will not matter to you. The fact that the Russian connection was being investigated is not evidence of anyone trying to get Trump out of office. What would you suggest to do that? Internment / prison camps? Sterilization? Old school lobotomies? Maybe tattooing them with something like a large letter or symbol on their forehead and giving them a serial number tattoo as well? What do you suggest?
Don't want to speak for Concart, but I took that to mean neutering them politically by ending the uneven balance in the Senate, ending gerrymandering, expanding the courts, and ending Citizens United that funds all that depraved shit.
Although Gardners suggestions are not without visceral appeal.

Okay, let's go with that. Reduce the opposition party to house arrest like many more totalitarian states do? Maybe change voting laws so that the party in power (presumably the one you agree with) has total control over the election and can rig the outcome like they do in banana republics, etc.? Sounds like one-party rule to me. That's how strongmen, dictators, and totalitarian governments run things and stay in power...
