We would pay for any new AF1 plane. I see nothing to panic about. No Kermit moment where my arms are flapping about..

I remember the long long time ago time... you know all those hours ago... when the left were saying it was a personal gift, he was going to pilot it himself everywhere, use it as a golf cart, and then he'd use it forever after instead of walking because it would be in his library...

But, instead we find out it goes to the Air Force, it will be refit like every plane used for this purpose and he'll never use it.

I agree that he won't be using it during his POTUS stint. After that? We the People are gifting the grifter with the plane for his "library" ?

We are already paying for Boeing to complete two new AF1 jets. Is there a reason why we need to spend millions more on this one? Trump's vanity sure comes at a high price. Where's DOGE and the MuskRats when we need them?

Musk is a bit hacked off that he outlined fraud and waste and then they just passed the "big beautiful bill" which puts it all back in... I get his frustration. lol

Then why take it if the new Air Force One is due in 2028/2029? Or even spend that kind of money to refurbish it if no one will use it?

And to believe that Trump will never use the plane is naive, as I asked, you really think it is leaving DC with him to be put into a library for public viewing?

No, you would not. You would do that to know you will get something for it in the future. That jet acceptance was wrong. It does not have to be quid pro quo. If it looks bad, it hurts the US. It looks horrible. Trump is exactly the kind of person who should not take a jet. He does not care about right and wrong. It is a profit to him.

The jet belongs to the Air Force so it really belongs to us all.

The Jet will serve as AF 1 until it is eventually retired and then it will be a static display at the Trump Library. Reagan's Library has a AF 1
