Its Official, California Blacks Are Dumber Than Parents

[h=1]Blacks have lowest college graduation rate in state[/h]
Black Californians have the lowest rate of college graduation among all ethnic groups and are less educated than their parents, according to a new study by a group calling on state lawmakers to get serious about helping African Americans.

"The State of Blacks in Higher Education in California," released Thursday by the Campaign for College Opportunity, offers a dismal set of findings:

-- 32 percent of black Californians who attended college dropped out, more than any other group, according to 2011 U.S. census data.

-- 30 percent of black Californians aged 25 to 34 have an associate's or bachelor's degree. By contrast, 35 percent of those aged 35 to 44 have a degree, as do 33 percent of those aged 45 to age 54.

-- Although 6 percent of all college-age Californians are black, black students are overrepresented at expensive, for-profit colleges: 10 percent; and at community colleges: 7 percent. They are underrepresented at the University of California: 4 percent; and California State University: 5 percent.

-- Nearly 24 percent of black Californians have degrees compared with 41 percent of white Californians, although the rate for black adults is better than their 18 percent rate in 2000.

How dumb do you have to be that you cannot even beat out the illegals from Mexico, that cannot even speak English, and still come out on the bottom of the list.

Amazing revelation: 'Under Capitalism poor working people and especially minority ones are hugely disadvantaged compared with those at the top of the caste system', explains right-wing weirdo.

USF seems to think that the crab mentality is germane only to minorities. I suggest that white people fuck over each other about the same rate as minorities fuck each other over. Sandy Hook, Columbine, Aurora, mob hits, the last run for the GOP presidential nominee , and the GOP willing to sacrifice the well being of the nation and the economy, to make Barack Obama a one term president (how did that work out for ya? LOL) are all a testament to the fact. They eat their own.

Well the problem with the urban communities circulating the idea of education and whiteness has to do with oppression and the inferiority complex. Everything grammatically sound and articulated is seen as white, and urban slang and colloquialism is "talking black." The same with aesthetics. Blacks fight over dark and light skin and which looks better and most accepted feature thus far is fair skin. So as I said before there are multiple elements at play. I mean, you guys focused on blacks but Hispanics don't fair better. A lot of the immigrants don't have education and although some push their kids towards higher learning, a lot of hispanic kids are having kids themselves forcing themselves to go on welfare and living at home and not learning no adult responsibility. It's not just about the home as you say, it's what surrounds the home.

I'm well aware the role oppression has played in the situation today. What I'm saying and more importantly what I've seen others in the black community say is we acknowledge that oppression but still have to move forward and the number one place that starts is the home. Yes there are of course others factors at play as well but it starts at home. That is what we have power to control.

Now-now, put those little crab claws of yours away and allow others to rise above your station in life. :)

Interesting that StormX. Cawacko and yourself all come from California, well to me anyway.

Yea a coincidence. But I live in Los Anegeles and I attend at a university in Los Angeles as I've said numerous times already. I don't know about Cawacko, but our exchange has been most productive unlike stormX whom I assume probably didn't even get a diploma.

Well, my point was that you do not argue with the maniac on the street because it's patently obvious that their ideas do not hold merit. So why do you argue them here?

Well for one, I see no sidewalks here. Two, perhaps in some way it is to entertain myself and at the same token, to hopefully help the maniac to gain a different perspective although that is a futile attempt. You're right, people shouldn't address irrational people I know, but if society began to ignore the irrational and dogmatic views of a racist then society would be like a woman who has breast cancer yet ignored the signs and symptoms. Here, or in the real world, I choose to not ignore the problem.

It's not just Blacks.
This kind of crab mentality is in all cultures,
I've seen Hispanics and Native Americans act the same way, when someone is trying to break out of that mold.
Where do you think the idea of a crab mentality came from?

Well at least you are assessing that this idea is in all cultures.

Breast cancer and moronic ramblings are not the same thing.

Poet although I dig your passion USF was saying that it is in "all cultures" and from that, I assume he means white people as well. I would agree that this behavior is prevalent in all cultures from social, to economical, hell even musical.

Didn't take you long to figure it out.
All the mods are young conservatives who either didn't go to college or barley got out. They hate liberals and progress

You know "TheDude" if that is true that is sad, but yes you are right. I've noticed even when I first posted here that there was heavy resistance against liberals and progressives.

I was talking about the ignoring part. For example, my mother died of breast cancer by ignoring the lump in her breast. She knew the lump was there but was too scared to see the oncologist. Eventually, the mass got to the size of an orange and she had to get a mastectomy and from there, went on chemo and radiation. She went into remission but later passed away but as we in the scientific and medical field know that remission does not mean cured. My point is, if you see a potential problem yet ignore it, you're allowing the problem to grow into an even bigger problem until the point where the problem becomes unavoidable. If you address the problem and continually address it then, you can at least contain the problem instead of ignoring it. That was my point.

I apologize if you think I was comparing apples and oranges.

With respect to your mother,

1) This is a free board, you can talk to whoever you would like

2) There are people that post on internet boards (sports, politics etc.) with the sole purpose of stirring things up. There is no rationalizing or 'teaching' them. They thrive off the attention they receive and commotion they cause.

To me, engaging in discussion of ideas assumes both ideas are intellectually viable. So to me to engage a racist in discussions about race assumes their point of view is equally as valid as a non-racist one.

The dude is just butt hurt that he wasn't accepted in as prestigious a school as Michigan State University, and he only has an Arts degree, not a science one like myself or the owner Damo.

Ok. I see your point in what you're getting that. Perhaps my engaging him was more along the lines of me being naive.

Oh, please. That's just a transparent attempt at being PC. You just know he believes that whites never ever are wrong or do any. When you don't even have to be provoked into being racist or bigoted.

Supposing or assuming that you, yourself are objective and not racist. Alas, if that were only the case.
