ITs happening again...!

More than one mass shooting per day this year so far. Mass shooting defined by four or more people shot in any one incident. How many countries can beat that? I honestly would like to know so please be specific Damocles.

I'm sure Dalai Damocles didn't mean to mislead, and will produce statistical evidence forthwith.

Absolutely.

They don't.

That is the particular lie of Obama, and others who want to use the crisis to perpetuate that myth, repetition seems to have fixed it in your head as a "fact"... However Politifact was able to determine with actual statistics and fact that it is a "mostly false" statement.

In raw numbers we are number one Damo, I don't see how you can ignore that. The fatality rate may have been higher per capita, but the fact still remains that there were 133 to 6, we have a bigger problem than other nations.

"While the U.S. has had more mass shootings in terms of raw numbers than other countries, at least three European countries—Switzerland, Norway and Finland—had higher rates of mass-shooting deaths per capita, according to researchers Jaclyn Schildkraut of the State University of New York in Oswego and H. Jaymi Elsass of Texas State University.

Were Muslims responsible for the shooting in Switzerland, Norway and Finland, Rana? Or don't you know?

Raw numbers almost always give a slanted, biased, and misleading impression or events.

Not on a per capita basis. While we did rank in the top 1/3, we were not number 1. And the studies do not include acts that they term as "terrorism"... So, Charlie Hebdo... Not counted (an example, not disagreeing, should they count 9/11? Well, that wasn't guns, not counted.)

The other two countries are pretty small aren't they?
If I had a country of 1000 people one mass shooting would put me on top per capita right?

That's a relief. I bet the victims' families are comforted to know it could have been worse.

Only one course of action makes sense.

1. More guns, as the NRA says.

2. Let's "control Muslims" as ILA suggests. That's constitutional, right?

2--3 blocks is a mile? Exaggerate much?

Try googling the addresses, then use MapQuest and you'll find that it's actually 1.5 miles; which is much farther then 2--3 blocks.

Do you want your crow cooked, steamed, or do you just want it served cold? :D
