Scale back what numbers? Do you mean the difference between mitigation and no mitigation?

I don't know. Trump seems to run on his own timetable. He'll give another guess when the whims hit him...or COVID-19. That'll probably give him an interesting education, wouldn't it?

Psssst. Trump is the President. I bitched about things Obama did, Bush before him and so forth back to LBJ. It's an inherent American right. What's odd are all the fucking tories who seek to put everyone back in line.

Both the Republicans and the Democrats are in the "wrong party". In many ways they've become like the African-American civil rights groups; they become more about sustaining themselves than doing the public good.

Not sure I’m buying the non-partisan bit.

Your outrage at least seems directly solely at Trump. But Trump has little control over NY/NYC and yet, one state out of fifty, owns a significant portion of national COVID numbers.

You and others go on incessantly about Trump. Are Cuomo and DeBlasio knots on a log in this? Impotent by-standers to the Bad Orange Man’s evil incompetence?

Cuomo in particular, is sort of the anti-Trump in this thing—he speaks well but the results in his state are abysmal. Trump speaks off the cuff when he shouldn’t—but he *he still* has led the bulk of the country through this thing while staying way south of the projected numbers.

Makes no sense to me.

The bolded is literally as hyper-partisan as hot takes get.

Trump led nothing. And Cuomo had the most populous, internationally traveled city to deal with.
