Hmmmm.....guess we will have to figure something else out on that one.

People with no marketable talent or education quit working decades ago when they figured out that living off the govt dole was every bit as lucrative as any low end job people like that could possibly get. But those bennies are STRESS FREE,...you have to do NOTHING to get them. Now,....if you continue to increase the govt bennies all that will happen is the lower middle will quit working too. Why wouldnt they? If you can live close to the same but have NONE OF the stresses or responsibilities why would you just continue to work? You wouldnt. If we lose the lower middle........turn out the lights the party is over. Going to be quite the show sitting back and watching this all happen. Eventually these idiots will end up getting exactly what they deserve......NOTHING.

At the age of 54, I've befriended a fair amount of leftists and liberals, and a few independents with left leaning beliefs........and with the exception of a handful, they all have one MAJOR issue in common and that is that they have almost no marketable skills, or skills that aren't in demand. The number of liberal arts majors and graduates who expect to make a living with that degree is astounding, like they couldn't imagine that society doesn't need liberal arts in the economic workplace. Now, that being said, i've seen a few who are the opposite of that, such as those in the high end IT field, attorneys, and others in fields that one would think would be lucrative. I even have a family member liberal who went in to sports medicine, graduated with a 4 year degree in it........has yet to find a job in that field even after 6 years of being a post graduate. It's like they just expect a job to fall in their lap to get them out of the food service industry. This all goes hand in hand with what seems like parents who encourage this pursuit of existence as a positive thing. I used to hear 'liberalism is a mental disease' and think that someone was just hating on others.........until I started seeing it in real life............It's still something I can't understand.....that of someone just sitting around waiting for an opportunity to come to them and believe that's how life should be lived. It's no wonder that those very leftists want socialism so they can be supported while they can continue pursuing shit nobody wants.....

I have a liberal arts degree. Political science, masters in Economics. I quickly learned those would not serve me well so I adapted. That has nothing to do with my political persuasion. To suggest that it does is just beyond stupid.

It's interesting how people tend to meet like people. Based on the 'liberals' you have met, I can only assume that you don't have any marketable skills otherwise you would have no reason to be hanging out with other people with no marketable skills. In the real business world, I meet successful people from the left and the right all the time. People are people. Whether they are left or right has little to do with their success. What does play in their success is luck, intelligence and hard work. Any one of those three can make someone a success but one can be a success with just luck. The funniest thing is the people that got where they are due to luck alone tend to be the ones that think they got there through their intelligence and hard work.

maybe you didn't read my post completely, or perused it with minimal comprehension, because I did not say ALL liberals I have met.....In fact, I specificallly stated that a few were highly marketable..........

I have a handful of hobbies and interests, some of which attract people of all political and educational tenets..........just like you, I meet SOME successful people of both left and right...........even in the middle.
