It's about teaching the children... to be good little pinhead protesters!

Yes, to the layman it is gruesome. However, where would we be today if autopsies were illegal? There was a time when autopsies were considered defiling the human body. Fortunately, doctors took it upon themselves to learn and slowly autopsies became accepted.

If we can improve one child's life by studying fetal body parts then surely God would not object.

Alrightie...Yurt says he wants proof Dixie was referring to the video from the OP...below we have the conversation as it plays out on page one of this thread...

Is there any indication that these are children are students of the teachers and that this is something that happened as part of school instruction as opposed to being parents with their kids?

We can CLEARLY see Nigel is referring to the kids in the video from the OP...

Oh just shut the fuck up, you retarded HACK! It's pretty damn obvious what transpired, the video doesn't lie! If a conservative teacher had brought her kids to capitol to chant.."Balance Our Budget!" You people would be having cows out your ears about now!

And above is Dix responding to Nigel's comments in his typical courteous, civil manner...

Dixie, there is nothing on the video that shows it to be anything more than some kids chanting. No evidence showing it to be classes or a school event. Parents brought their kids down to participate. That is the extent of what I saw.

At this point Winterborn becomes involved...note he also mentions the video from the OP...

So you see nothing wrong with teachers using students to politically protest their causes? That's okay with you, right? And it wouldn't matter if it were this, or say, a Pro-Life Rally?

And above is post #11...we can see from Dix's comment and from the posts on page one that he was responding to Winter, who referenced the video from the OP

If it were teachers taking their class to do this I would dislike it very much.
But where you see that happening, all I see is some kids chanting. I see no sign of any school supported function or of a teacher taking the kids out for a protest.
It is more likely that parent brought their kids to the capital to help the teachers with the protest.

And once again, in post #12, Winter references the video from the OP...

It is a school field trip. Do you need for me to point out the "teachers" in the video to you? Because, I guarantee you, I can!

And most tellingly, Dix's comment from post #13 above CLEARLY proves he was referencing the video from the OP all along...

Do you need for me to point out the "teachers" in the video to you?

That's Dix, ^^^^^^^^^^^ referencing the video from the OP...and since his last comment was simply part of a longer conversation all contained on page one of this very thread, it can be concluded that post number 11 was, indeed about the video from the OP...now let's see how Yurt gets his lying ass out of this one...anyone wanna bet he just calls me some more names?

Once again Yurt proves that his hatred for me is so strong that he allows it to cloud his reasoning processes.

Well surely not if it's your God, because you don't have one, right? How could he possibly object to anything? Heck, I bet we could sacrifice whiny two-year-olds, and your God wouldn't object, would he? I mean, for the greater good, right?

Personally, I think god, if there is one, would be a being that we wouldn't really be able to comprehend, and that wouldn't be ruled by emotions & attachments that we feel as humans. We're talking about a being who has been around for eternity, and who presides over at least one universe that is incomprehensibly huge, with countless galaxies, planets, civilizations, beings & cultures.

And we're to think that being gets caught up in minutiae like a debate about Roe? I mean, guys like Robertson take that that kind of characterization to the extreme when they say god creates hurricanes to smite Ellen Degeneres....

Yeah, why would God care if we kill millions of our most innocent children every year?

I don't accept your definition of "children", just as I would disagree with someone calling an acorn a tree, but we could argue that all day. Even if I accept your characterization that abortion is "killing innocent children," which I don't, the larger point is that I don't think god, if there is one, is the kind of being that is wringing his hands about every innocent death on the planet earth in the 21st century.

Again - we're talking about a timeless being, who presides over not just this universe, but perhaps many universes like it.

You are totally disgusting about this issue...but then you support killing children even when they are out of the womb if they have a disability up to the age of 6!

Pure BS- dissective autopsies have been par for the course since ancient times-Roman law forbade it, but that in no way was universal.

That said, this is not the same thing as autopsy-this is predatory medicine at its most base and advantageous! It's fucking sick! The reason there exist federal law against it was to prevent what is happening from happening. It is why abortion clinics do not truly want choice-they get fucking wealthy from killing the unborn!

Back to the union issue. This is why collective bargaining is such a bad idea for government employees:

...in June 2010, long before Scott Walker was elected, Milwaukee Public Schools fired 482 teachers--including Megan Sampson, a young educator named an "outstanding first year teacher" by the Wisconsin Council of Teachers of English.

Sampson and 481 other teachers were laid off for two reasons having to do with collective bargaining:

First, the collective bargaining agreement allowed the teachers' union to choose between small reductions in health care benefits and layoffs. "Given the opportunity, of course I would switch to a different [health care] plan to save my job, or the jobs of 10 other teachers," Sampson told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The teachers' union felt differently. It chose layoffs.

Second, the collective bargaining agreement guaranteed that teachers would be laid off on the basis of seniority rather than merit (or lack thereof). Therefore, Sampson, and likely a lot of other promising young educators got the axe, while the rest of the teachers, good and bad alike, were protected simply by the amount of time they'd put in.

First of all, I do not disbelieve in a God but from what is in the Christian Bible I'm more inclined to believe it describes aliens. For example: "Genesis 6:4 (New International Version, ©2011) "The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown."

Sons of God? I thought Jesus was his only son?

As for two year olds vs fetuses the Bible continually associates breath with life including breathing the breath of life into one Biblical character. It would be difficult to breathe the breath of anything into a fetus.

The disease to which you're referring is Tay-Sachs. Let's take a look at it.

(Excerpt)Infantile TSD. Infants with Tay–Sachs disease appear to develop normally for the first six months after birth. Then, as nerve cells become distended with gangliosides, a relentless deterioration of mental and physical abilities occurs. The child becomes blind, deaf, and unable to swallow. Muscles begin to atrophy and paralysis sets in. Death usually occurs before the age of four. (End)

Imagine knowing a fetus has this disease and insisting on bringing it to term resulting in a child enduring the inevitable suffering and finally dying before 6 years of age. Disgusting doesn't come close to describing such behavior and/or beliefs.

Pure BS- dissective autopsies have been par for the course since ancient times-Roman law forbade it, but that in no way was universal.

As autopsies, initially prohibited for religious reasons, became more accepted in the late Middle Ages, people learned more about the causes of death. In 1761 Giovanni Battista Morgagni (1682 – 1771) published the first book to locate disease in individual organs.

Oh, please! When was the last time you had a flier in your mailbox from an abortion clinic trying to drum up business for fetal parts?

Honestly, ID. Get a grip! I can't believe you'd write such stuff. :(

Let's look at a little bit more of that article.
(Excerpt)"What collective bargaining has frequently meant in practice is that unions never have to concede any of the benefits they've won through a collective bargaining agreement unless they want to do so. In other words, when there's a budget crunch, the union--not the school district or local government--gets to choose between massive layoffs and slight benefits reductions."(End)

"When there's a budget crunch." What happens when there is a budget surplus? What happened through the "roaring 90s" when unemployment was down, schools and governments were raking in the tax dollars....did the schools or governments offer the teachers a bonus? So much as offer to re-fresh their lunch room? Maybe spring for a coat of paint?

Nooo. The schools/governments still dragged the teachers and other public employees through the normal tough negotiations. Hey, it's business, after all.

But now it's "poor us". We didn't give you more when we had more but now that we have less we expect you to take less. That is the definition of bullsh!t.

You get a fucking grip apple...selling baby parts are a huge profitable business for abortionists, that you wish to equate the selling of them with that of autopsies perfomed on dead people is a typical off into the weeds style favored by you.

Another one of your favored bs tactics is to take the worst kind of birth defects and equate them with the 97% of aborted babies that are done for the convenience of the woman...

For the sake of argument let's just talk about those 97% and see how well you can defend the 1,000,000 a year butchery...
