No my statements are based on the facts not the emotional strings you attempt to pull by describing the disease. Seizures are managed; gavage feeding is practiced; and pain management is a part of the care. Your solution instead of these measures is to just kill the child...that's twisted.
A fetus is a human being-abortion KILLS that human being-semantics really are not substitutes for scientific fact apple...but I understand your NEED to attempt that strawman.
Your stats regarding child abuse with regards to babies that have been aborted are meaningless. The children killed by abortion are not a part of those stats... We had a society, before abortion on demand was leagal, and it was more compassionate and more civil-abuse has increased despite the increase of abortion on demand due to ROE... The message of abortion is that it devalues the life of children.
I would rather imagine a society of responsible people where children are valued inside and outside the womb. One where it is legally clear that the only real and responsible choice happens before sex-not after an irresponsible moment. That if a woman gets pregnant that she consider her moral and ethical choices to be (adoption VS parenting) not killing her unborn child. A society where the need to employ the use of semantics in order to justify killing unborn children ends.
So how is child abuse going to decrease if an additional million (fetuses currently aborted) unwanted children are brought into the world? We don't even properly care about the children who are here now!
Have you listened to the posters here. "It doesn't take a village." "Why should I pay for someone's child?" And similar comments.
Cuts to programs involving poor children like school lunch programs, etc.
Bring more children into the world when all we have to do is turn on the TV to see children dying from hunger and disease? That's what's twisted. That's what is vile and dehumanizing.
Maybe we can't change the world overnight but there is nothing humane or morally right to insist unwanted children be brought into the world KNOWING they will be abused/neglected/ignored/unloved and then witness people having the gall to say "life is what you make it".
As for responsible choices it's time sex education came out of the closet.
Remember, years ago, all the ADS and billboards concerning drinking and driving? It took a generation of an in-your-face, down-your throat awareness campaign to change things. (No pun intended) That's what's needed to change the abortion statistics.
Every drug store with a huge sign, "Have you picked up your birth control today?" Condom machines/dispensers everywhere. ADS showing the carrying of condoms to be "kool".
Can't people realize the obvious? Places frequented by 20-somethings (that being the highest demographic followed by 15-19 yr olds) should have messages/posters prominently displayed.

How can society get a handle on unwanted pregnancy when just the mention of sex is taboo?
Let's DO SOMETHING. Let's try every conceivable idea before we resign ourselves to bringing a million unwanted children into the world, year after year.
Obviously we aren't solving the problem by whispering about sex. Maybe it's time to start shouting.
