Donald Trump's campaign manager Corey Lewandowski was charged with simple battery on Tuesday after a March 8 incident in which Lewandowski grabbed a reporter at the Trump National Golf Club in Florida.

Trump's campaign released a statement denying the charges and named the two lawyers who will be defending him.

One of them, Kendall Coffey, is a former U.S. attorney who resigned after biting a stripper.

In an incident at a strip club in Miami, he cast something of a shadow on his career. First reported by the Miami Herald, Coffey went out one night to the Lipstik club, where he met "Tiffany," a dancer who accompanied him to a back room.

Things got a little hairy, however, when Coffey decided to try to kiss Tiffany on the lips. She didn’t want him to, and when she tried to wriggle away, he bit her left arm.

He broke the skin and drew blood.

Tiffany screamed.

A bouncer and the night manager loaded Coffey head-first into a cab.

Coffey initially denied biting Tiffany, but a subsequent investigation found otherwise.

Coffey was eventually summoned to a meeting in Washington with the Attorney General, and a day later, he resigned.

If found guilty Lewandowski will likely get a sentence of community service that will need to be carried out in Jupiter Florida.
Could put a damper on his campaign duties this summer.

BTW, his thug is on the delegate list for the convention.

After Lewandowski was charged with battery, Donald Trump jumped on Twitter. And the story, feeding off of and feeding his Twitter fans, changed. The standard was no longer that nothing happened. Now it was that Fields was, somehow, a threat.

Step one was to downplay what Lewandowski did.

Step two was to imply that it was Fields who was lying.

Then we hit step three, which is where the train goes off the rails and soars away into the sky.

Now, not only is Fields a liar, but Trump found her threatening. You know who didn't find her threatening? The Secret Service agent standing literally right behind her. (And we know they'll intervene.) What's in her hand? A pen, so she can write down what's being said.

But notice what we're debating now! We're not talking about how the campaign lied about and denied what happened. We're debating what Fields did, which is irrelevant to both the ethical and criminal accusations against the campaign.

Is it working? Well, you be the judge.

Wow, his Republican nomination numbers will go up, while his general election numbers will drop.

It defies the laws of physics, but its happening.
 
The Republican's wildest fantasies could come true and HRC could be serving time, but she could still win the election against Trump.

Pardon the pun, but this is a Trumped up charge. Battery for grabbing an arm to get her away from the potential POTUS.... PLeeeease.
