It will get worse before it gets better.

Whenever I go to the Doctor with a cold or sinus infection and she gives me antibiotics she tells me...

"Its likley to get worse before it gets better, but dont stop taking it. Its working and if you stop taking the medication before you are better you are likely to end up sicker than you were."

We are seeing recovery from the recession all over the place and I belive the American people are sharp enough as a whole, to not blame President Obama because the medicine took some time to take effect. We should not switch Presidents simply because it took some time. The Republicans are desperatly trying to blame the antibiotics because the economy got worse before it got better, but they are working!

So instead of backing up your idiotic comments yesterday on the SAME TOPIC (because you were 'too tired' to do so) you instead start another thread on the SAME TOPIC?

Please open your eyes and open the thread from yesterday where I gave you a cite first thing this morning. You are such a screaming drama queen.

LMAO... poor Jarod.. you are getting your ass kicked on that thread. But please, do elaborate why you started yet ANOTHER thread on the same topic.

Supercandy, My ass is not being kicked. I wanted to start a different thread on a new more specific topic, I would not expect you to understand the nuance. Had I wanted to abandon the other thread, I would not still be posting in it!

IMO, your analogy fails for the simple reason that it's only gotten worse, which was not implied. At some point there should have been an upturn. The data now being released, within the election year, is not only not to be trusted, but nearly guaranteed to be goofed with.

But they forgot to explain the side-effects of blurry vision, loss of appetite, anal leakage, possible onset of cancer, asthma, high blood pressure, lack of sexual drive, and possible death.

The economy is improving. You have to be an idiot or blinded by politics to not see that.

I'm not looking to politicians to solve the economy; they really can't.

This current crop most certainly cannot. We the people are too fucking stoopit in general. We the people have bought hook line and sinker that one of the party's is good and the other evil. They have polarized us into inaction. So we reflexively keep sending the same fucking idiots back to DC and expecting different results... and let's face it... they are all the same. In it for themselves... NOT in it for We the People.

Some things they can do to make the economy better:

1) Re implement Glass Steagall and repeal Dodd/Frank
2) Re implement the up tick rule.
3) Eliminate the current 70k pages of the tax code and replace it with a flat tax with standard deduction... no corporate taxation.
4) Put the budget back at 2006 levels adjusted only for inflation.

Start there... watch how fast the economy recovers.

Maybe, but I doubt it's that easy. A) It's a global economy now - so much depends on Greece, foreign markets, etc., and B) I don't think there is a mix that you can just add water to in order to restore CONFIDENCE, which is the nagging issue & thorn in the economy's side.

The things you mention will effect the marketplace as it currently exists. My own thought on that is that, even if it's humming, the current marketplace doesn't offer enough for a gangbuster kind of recovery.

A new revolution is needed, a la industrial, technological, transportation, etc.
