It very unlikely that Trump will be impeached

Nixon was a lawyer and he knew that he was fucked...
He resigned rather than face the indignation and embarrassment of a losing trial in the Senate... He probably would have faced jail time, had he tried to fight it...
Acceptance of Ford's pardon was a full admission of his guilt ...

So in your eyes everyone pardoned by a President is guilty of the crime. Got it.

impeachment just means charges brought. It does not mean removal. That would be conviction via the senate. Bill Clinton was impeached.

He was impeached and the vote in the House went against him, but not in the Senate!

right, but what I am saying is removal != impeachment. Impeachment is merely the charges brought. Bill Clinton was impeached in spite of not being removed from office.

There are a massive amount of ill-informed people who believe fake news articles which float impeachment as a probability. It's non-stop since before he was even inaugurated. It's clear the media, Dems and establishment Republicans all planned in advance to conspire to engineer situations they can then call for impeachment

People do not even realise just how rare and difficult it is to impeach a president. It has to go through both houses. In the first it has to be voted by a simple majority from a special committee. Then it goes to the Senate for trial and Trump can mount his defence. The Senate acts as the Jury and Trump can only be removed with a massive 2/3 majority. Needless to say for Trump to be removed, Republicans control both Houses and so they would have to turn on him. Considering the Republican voter base is almost unanimously pro-Trump and totally outraged at the campaign to oust him, they would destroy themselves and civil war would become a very real possibility.

Do the MSM think the people are stupid, they have been arguing for impeachment over numerous issues from Day One. It's totally transparent, sickening, anti-democratic and incredibly unfair. They are creating an atmosphere of extreme hostility and hysteria over Trump, to set the climate for overthrowing the democratically elected president simply because the elites, the Establishment and vested Interests do not like him. Why? Because they cannot control him and they fear their monopoly on power and the gravy train of corruption will come to an end.

This is the be all and end all of the matter. What is even more sickening is seeing sanctimonious twats like Desh, Black as Crap and Nostradumbarse crowing. I will delight in rubbing their noses in their own shit when the time is ripe.

I do not think you need to tell Americans that impeachment is rare, I think we know that.

I personally do not think a Republican congress will ever impeach Drumpf. Unless is approval numbers get down into the 20 percentiles. Then it might become a question of political survival for the congressional Republican Party.

On a sidebar, I find it remarkable that someone who is not even American, and lives in another country can get so emotionally invested in Trump, and spend inordinate amounts of time thinking about anonymous liberal American message board posters.

A pardon is always given to someone who is convicted of the crime already.
Ford decided to give a "pardon" to Nixon instead of "immunity" because everyone in the world, including Nixon and Ford, understood that he was absolutely guilty.

On a sidebar, I couldn't care less what you think.

Trump has said that he is on our side in the Brexit negotiations whereas Obama stated that we would be last in the queue for a trade deal. As for Clinton I have no reason to doubt that she would have been any different.

everyone knows america has all the good shit.

You tried this bullshit on the other thread. It doesn't wash here either.

The question was whether the AG or DOJ people interfered.

I am glad now that this has happened. The Senate has asked for ALL of Comeys memos even those related to his Clinton investigation and conversations with Lynch and Obama. That should be fun huh?

Once Trump goes under oath, it's all over. He cannot help but lie. He lies even when the truth would serve him better. Clinton was impeached for denying he had relations with Lewinsky to Congress. Imagine the metric ton of perjury that would occur if Trump took the stand.

I can't see how America can go on enduring this non-stop absurdity. Trump is a profoundly unsuitable man for any elected office, and the choice is between impeachment and having some enlightened bang-bang merchant shoot down the mad dog. The legal approach must always be preferable, surely?
