That's his super power -- being able to convince the gullible, the poorly-educated, the naive, the weak, the haters that what he says is the truth. They are totally blind to the well-documented history of literally thousands upon thousands of outright lies he tells on a daily basis.
#GolfHatGate is a good example. At first they denied he disrespected the fallen troops at their arrival home by wearing a stupid white sports cap which he wouldn't remove to show respect. Then when presented with incontrovertible proof, they claimed it wasn't disrespectful. But if Obama, Biden, or Clinton had done the same? You know the drill.
