It looks like the jury is giving it thought.

Wasn't it you who mentioned something about 'Friday' the other day?

Yes. I think the jury gave the case it's due. If it's true there were two holdouts, it's reasonable for them to want a full review of the evidence.

Also a few days ago I saw the remake of "12 Angry Men" on streaming. In cases of death, it's important to give both the living and their dead their due, but our laws are weighted with the defendants.

Kyle now says he wants to move and to go Nursing school. Fine. I wish him the best, but he's going to have to live with this for the rest of his life. I hope he gets some counseling.

I do find it extremely interesting that the Wisconsin right of self-defense supersedes the rights of others to be endangered.

It's that way all over the country.........If a person engages in violent criminal conduct, those responding may defend themselves and any harm or death because of that falls on the instigator. It's the same thing as some people robbing a bank, any innocents that end up harmed because of law enforcement or civilian response falls on the perpetrators.....

Show of hands who agree that if a person or group of people are attacking you and that you are in fear of your life, you can open fire on them?

Especially if they are attacking with weapons like skateboards, fence posts, flag poles and chemical weapons?

You mean like their glorious martyr, poor dead Ashli did? lol

He won't last long there, but it's a nice thought.

All of them that pushed against the police line where the police were in fear of their lives.

It's very tempting to say that if Rittenhouse had been black he would have been convicted. But there would have been no murders to begin with, because if a black kid had showed up wearing a weapon, the police would have busted him on the spot.

Sadly, agreed. To paraphrase Trump's comments about the pedophile Ghislaine Maxwell, "I wish him well". Kyle has a chance to rebuild his life. If no one hears from him again, that's what he's doing.

nonsense. it would of played out much like Roderick Scott.

Let's hope Kyle stays out of the news, but that doesn't mean Kenosha will remain anonymous. There's a lot of questions about who was on the streets that night, the relationship of the KPD and the local militias along with the other court cases of Kyle's friends...who may end up doing more time than Kyle. LOL

It will be interesting to see if there is any rioting over this verdict. And if so, by whom.

I've been watching Fox all day because their coverage of the trial is better than CNN. They showed the family of Jacob Blake reacting to the verdict: https://www.wisn.com/article/jacob-blake-family-speaks-after-rittenhouse-verdict/38304456

I was left wondering "WTF does the shooting of Jacob Blake have to do with Kyle shooting three white guys?" Seriously.

Since the 1960s I've seen groups that want to get noticed use almost any pretense to do so. While I think the Jacob Blake shooting and the relationship of the KPD with local militias is disturbing, it had nothing to do with the right of self-defense in the Rittenhouse case.

Regardless, I expect to see a lot more reports of dead Americans in the streets as idiots heat up.

as you seemed quite fond of saying, that would be for the jury to decide, not you..........just like you believed the jury would send him away for 10 to 15 years.......and you were wrong, you would be wrong with your assessment of you saving the world from an active shooter..........

kyle wasn't the instigator.............or are you too traumatized at being proven wrong to accept that part yet?
Yes, I was wrong. Imagine my surprise that endangering the lives of others isn't a problem as long as you were panicking about saving your own skin.

Sooooo.....according to you, if a person is wrong on one thing, he's wrong on all things. Fascinating. Even more fascinating is your admission that if you saw a man shoot down two unarmed men that your would not consider them to be an active shooter.

How do you define "active shooter" and how was Kyle different?

Not beyond a reasonable doubt. Kudos to Wisconsin self-defense laws!
