Because the media wants you to belive that... Reid is reported to have a different viewpoint because the media wants contraversy for ratings in the comming election cycle..

You should know that just because popular perception is one way, does not mean its true... Who cares what popular perception is, look at it your self and see that its nto true.

"The First Amendment protects freedom of religion," Manley said. "Sen. Reid respects that but thinks that the mosque should be built some place else."

So all that Obama has said thus far is the first part. The president simply declined to offer an opinion on the second part....

Ill try to make this very simple for you....

Reid said two different things....

1) The first Amendment protects freedom of religen. (Obama also said this)
2) He personally belives the Mosque should be built some where else. (Obama has not expressed an opinion on this subject)
