It can't happen here

Yes, unless you can provide far more than some vague generalized statements about the two. Instead of comparing them, cite the specifics of the dictator / authoritarian / etc., you are bashing and bash them. There's no need for Hitler comparisons like 99% of the time.

So you refuse to address points? Why?

Because they are sweeping generalities.

I could easily do the same thing, and in far greater detail, with the Nazi party's political platform versus the Left. Does that make Leftists Nazis? Rarely.

For example, Hitler and the Nazis instituted the first ban on smoking / tobacco in history. Does that make people who want to ban smoking today Nazis?

So go ahead and create a thread on that.

Now, let's forget the comparison for the time being. Now as to point #1. Do you or do you not agree that Trump called the media fake news and the enemy of people?

He probably did. So?

The Left Begins Eating Itself: Biden Calls CNN ‘Fake News’

Biden called the media news fake too (and did so repeatedly now). Is he equally guilty of this as Trump is?

This is correctly called. It is also called a compositional error fallacy. It is improperly extending the property of a class across the entire class or to the class itself. This fallacy is the basis of both bigotry and racism as well.
If the class is people, that is bigotry. If the property being extended is a genetic trait, that is racism.

In Lefty's case, it is bigotry, borne out of TDS.
The Nazis, of course, like the Democrats today, were bigots and racists. Indeed, racism among the Nazis extended to genocide. Democrats haven't turned to genocide yet, preferring instead slavery or imprisonment, though they HAVE killed people of 'inferior' race simply because of a genetic trait.

In describing Trump with traits of Nazis, Lefty is describing himself and other Democrats. An inversion fallacy. He is literally trying to project his own problems upon Trump.

He then goes on to deny, deny, deny when caught at it, even denying HIS OWN ARGUMENT!

Then, when I confront him with it, his first reaction is censorship and whining to the mods. Sort of like when Hitler instituted censorship (like most dictators do) and ordering out the Enforcers (the SS).

He did, and Hitler never did. Hitler was not about to call the state news service 'fake news' or 'the enemy of the people'!

So what? So did Hitler. I don't think you understand the history of the media. It's never been what you think it is.

I understand the history of governments manipulating the media. You can see it in China, Russia and NK.
