This weaponization of Holocaust memory by Israeli politicians runs deep. In 1982, for instance, in the context of Israel’s attack on Lebanon, the Israeli PM, Menachem Begin, compared the Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat in Beirut to Adolf Hitler in his bunker in Berlin at the end of the war.
 
If I were the Jews, I'd be super interested in other people's opinion of what to do with the holocaust experience.

If we were to push this idea to fruition... Let's see how that would roll, we'll add different ethnicities and tell them to shut up, ay wot?

This following is not my opinion, I'm just applying the "add a different race into the sentence to see how it would fly" test.

African American folks "need" to stop weaponizing American slavery. Texans "need" to stop remembering the Alamo (threw this one in for levity, they're white they really do need to shut up about it because white folks cannot ever be considered the loser in any historical context if they are it is written by a white racist jerk). Native Americans "need" to stop weaponizing US Treatment of indigenous folks. Those Cherokee especially "need" to just stop "weaponizing" the Trail of Tears, those jerks...

Yup. This disgusting display of nasty ethnic cleansing speech seems to only apply to Jews, because if you apply it to any other ethnic group that remembers atrocities you just sound like a total racist wanker jackwipe...

It is only applied by folks who want Jews to just shut up and go away, and should not be stated out loud in mixed company.
