It's similar to Venezuela in that Trump just wanted to get that evil drug cartel leader Maduro out of office. Can't say that Trump is happy with the now current leader of Venezuela, but again, regime change to Trump's liking wasn't the intention in the first place. Trump's mission with Iran is to take down the evil #1 terrorist nation in the world, then leave the nation to get a reasonable more peaceful leader there. Trump isn't going to name who he expects or even wants to lead Iran.

Obama gave them back their money. It was not ours. They bought munitions from the world's biggest seller of munitions, the USA. They were paid for, but not delivered. The government changed and we kept Iran's money. When they signed the treaty to not to pursue nukes, Obama gave them back their money.
The US had complete air dominance in Vietnam. Same in Afghanistan. How did that work out?
People fight very hard to protect their homeland. American soldiers will wonder why they are being sent to a foreign war, again.

Oh wait, he meant 'consult' the American people? How exactly? It's called a representative republic for a reason. We elect leaders and they represent us. Only two people on earth truly speak for the American people through the ballot box, the President and the Vice President. The President was elected to do exactly what he's doing, representing us as he sees fit. He's crushing it from where I stand. You? Not so much, that's called life. Elections have consequences, deal with it.

Jarod wants us to take a poll I guess or let Congress grandstands for the cameras and then let everybody make decisions without complete information, brilliant. It's like asking a person with multiple personalities, like 535 of them, actually 635, that we can't tell anything we don't want our enemies to know, for permission to do what needs doing.

The Constitution is clear on this for a reason. Congress can declare war if they want, it's their right, but whether they do or not doesn't impact if we wage war or not, never has, never will.
