ISIS and certain American conservatives have something in common: They both hate the same Muslim Americans. This became apparent Wednesday when the new issue of ISIS’s magazine, Dabiq, was released.

In this issue of Dabiq, ISIS identifies Muslim Americans they believe should be targeted for death because they have become apostates per ISIS’s own made up version of Islam. Did any of these Muslims actually leave the faith? No, but ISIS claims that if a Muslim American is involved in American society, and especially in U.S. politics, he or she has become an apostate—even if that person is an imam who has dedicated his life to Islam.

Not that this matters to ISIS, but there’s no death penalty called for in the Quran for a person leaving the faith. But ISIS would never let the principles of Islam get in the way of its political goals.

And ISIS targeting Muslims for death is nothing new. As I have pointed out time and time again, ISIS’s mantra is submit to ISIS or die. They don’t care if you are the most devout Muslim in the world, they will kill you if you don’t do exactly what ISIS demands. That’s why experts note that 90 percent plus of the victims of ISIS are Muslims.

Now here’s the interesting part. Every person ISIS wants targeted, without exception, has already been targeted by American conservatives. Granted, not for death; things aren’t that bad yet. But they have been the targets of sustained political attacks. It appears that ISIS and many on the right in American politics both view the same Muslim Americans as a threat, but for different reasons.

Wow. What a reach even for you. They have endured "sustained political attacks"

Yeah the two are EXACTLY the same.

Bless yer Deshtard heart

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) has been targeted for death by ISIS because as one of the two Muslims in Congress, he’s a visible role model for Muslims, inspiring them to become active in American politics and serve in our government.

Oddly enough, Ellison is also hated by the right for the same reason ISIS hates him, namely because he’s both very visible and effective.

Michelle Bachmann claimed Ellison was part of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Glenn Beck infamously questioned Ellison’s patriotism, demanding of Ellison on national television, “Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies.”

Bottom-feeding website Breitbart.com (Trump’s biggest cheerleader) has attacked Ellison numerous times, alleging that he has nefarious (but fabricated) ties to terrorism.

I agree, comparing the GOP to ISIS is like comparing a political party to nazism. Pretty silly stuff.

Well, we've come to expect such over-reaching out of liberals these days lol.

ISIS attacking other Muslims isn't news and verbal attacks our domestic Muslims is par for the course and more of the same. The spin they put on it is predictable but it only means ISIS considers Ellison an apostate. So lol? If you are Muslim and you don't agree with the ISIS brand of Islam, ISIS wants you to convert or die.

It's interesting that you don't see ISIS condemning the rampant misogyny by Muslim immigrants in Europe. But you see liberals soft-peddling it because it involves Muslims. ISIS and our domestic secular liberals both share an obsession with the Crusades.

And on and on...it's ironic as all get out.

Well, the Nazi Party, like Trump, was prepared to fight elections until it didn't need to. ISIS is probably better seen as an extreme and ignorant reaction against capitalist colonialism rather than simply as the usual ignorant and racist reaction to the usual capitalist flop.

So in your mind accusing him of being part of the Muslime Brotherhood is the exact same thing as wanting him killed?

And yes that is EXACTLY what you are implying

The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is making death threats against a longtime Hillary Clinton aide and a congressman.

ISIS claims in the new issue of an English-language magazine from the terror organization that a list of "overt crusaders" and "apostates" should be killed.

“One must either take the journey to [ISIS’s self-proclaimed caliphate], joining the ranks of the mujahideen [fighters] therein, or wage jihad by himself with the resources available to him (knives, guns, explosives, etc.) to kill the crusaders and other disbelievers and apostates,” the extremist group wrote in the new issue of the magazine Dabiq, which circulated on the internet Wednesday.

The list naming officials in the U.S., United Kingdom and around the Western world is the first time the magazine has compiled a list of Muslims in the West it claims should be killed for their work.

Let us know when ISIS goes after CAIR, lol.

OK, lol.

The latest edition of Dabiq, the ISIS propaganda magazine, calls on jihadists in the West to “Kill the imams of kufr [disbelievers or apostates] in the West.” The magazine reportedly identifies nearly two dozen high pro-file Muslims in the West who, according to ISIS, reject true Islam and should be killed.

Among those on the ISIS hit list: Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) national executive director Nihad Awad.

the way i see it the left is the one inspired by hate more. They physically go out to break up the rallies of those they dont agree with, like ISIS silences all political dissent.

you are an islamophobe

I know the level of murderous violence perpetrated by ISIS has no parallel in the American political system—but that’s also because of the secular counterweight of civil society and constitutional democracy.

Culturally, there are a lot of striking similarities between the conservative reactionary ethos in both the western and the Islamic worlds.
