Is "Thug" an overused term with racial undertones?

Yes, it can be seen that way... easily... especially by people who see the interview and take it out of context of when the interview occurred and what happened just prior to it. You simply want to run around screaming 'racist!!!' because it again makes you feelz better about yourself. The people that do that and then brand Sherman a thug are acting like racists. The reason they are reaching the conclusion that Sherman is a thug is not really based on those few seconds of video, but on how they view young black men generally. They're thugs, excepting (of course) the good ones. Which Sherman isn't becuase look at him.

Thanks again for proving that you are indeed a closet racist. How many people watched the interview without knowing that it happened just after that play? You are once again projecting your inner racist thoughts onto others. It is you that sees him beneath you. Well Dung's position here is essentially unless you are ok with Sherman's post game interview there's a good chance you are racist. Rana, how many comments has leaningright made on this board that you feel were racist? Is he a racist man to you? Yet Dung has in essence implied leaningright is with leaningright not liking Sherman's interview and liking people like Russell Wilson.

Rana is caught up in trying to propagate the myth that Dung is intelligent and thoughtful. She is so eager to mock me, that she blows by Dung's ignorance.

(1) That's not my position at all.

(2) I don't think lenaingright is a racist. I don't think you are racist. I don't think Superfreak is a racist.

(3) Non-racist people act on racial stereotypes sometimes without even realizing what they are doing. I'm not specifically accusing leaningright or anyone else of doing that in this instance, but have made my comments to hopefully bring about a bit of introspection on that score. You can get you hackles up and call me a douchebag piece of shit racist if you want. I don't mind.

(4) My apologies to leaningright. I like and respect you and don't think you are a racist.
