Is This Right?

yes, it's fair. what yurt said earlier. it's not welfare.

(well actually, in liberal minds, it is, just a clever trick to redistribute wealth, and now that it's not doing what they intended, they complain)

basically,

:dealwithit:

Peronally I beleave that wealth should be redistibuted.

UE isn't welfare, you pay into it as an insurance policy. as much as it seems unfair, they did pay the taxes for it, so why should they not be eligible to get the insurance when they are UE?

in ca ue benefits are taxable despite the fact that those benefits are insurance payments

so far ss and medicare benefits/payments are not taxable, these are also insurance programs

it seems to me that when you pay for insurance, you should receive the benefits without interference from the government, whether local, state or federal

Same here in Fl. Of course, Florida is cutting edge in the matter of fucking over the poor and middle class.

Not only that, but in Florida you have to take a test

"Florida's new procedures force workers who already satisfy the basic eligibility requirements to jump through additional hoops in the form of complex online transactions," Wentworth continued. "Thousands of workers are being unfairly disqualified as a result. We are asking the U.S. Department of Labor to investigate and find that Florida's procedures are in violation of federal law."

My better half had to take it. Even with my advanced degree, it wasn't easy.
