As a US citizen, pretty much. That's how nations work. The Taliban in Afghanistan were harboring Al Qaeda and giving them a safe place to operate from on 9/11. The US stomped the government of Afghanistan, the Taliban, to get at Al Qaeda. Actions have consequences.
If Biden got the US into a hot war with some other nation, let's say Russia or China, do you really think that Russia or China wouldn't attack the continental US if they could? They might not target Washington DC right off, and in any case the whole of the US population would be at risk of being attacked in such a war. Why should it suddenly be any different for the Palestinians in Gaza when their government started a war?
