With regard to Piyush.
When he was a teenager, Barack tried to use the name Barry as a way of fitting into American cultural expectations. So he obviously could relate to the internal torments Piyush "Bobby" Jindal went through.
But at some point, Obama said fuck it I am going to be true to myself and my heritage. Piyush never made that transition.
Congresswomen Ilhan Omar obviously never felt any compulsion to modify her ethnic name or religion to fit into a Christian America. I personally think that speaks well of her.

I agree with you, and I had hoped we had moved beyond this one, but I guess not.
I have been pointing out lately with all the Trumppers clinging on to clearly untrue myths, we just might have to go back to debating the spherical nature of the planet. Evolution is another thing.
German shepherd and Great Danes are the results of selective breeding, and tend to have health problems as a result.
Unless you believe in Nazi eugenics, humans do not engage in selective breeding.
Tigers and lions are separate distinct species which do not even live on the same continent, and generally are incapable of crossbreeding healthy, viable offspring, although there are a few ligers born in captivity.

They were mostly wiped out by murder and disease, but yes what little of the Original Americans that still exist mostly exists due to interracial procreation.
The murder and disease were wrong, but yes... races do and always have changed and developed and melted into new groups. It is evolution.

They can not currently get pregnant, but it is possible that in the future science and medicine might make it possible.
The number of people willing to say in public that races shouldn't mix is always far less than the number who think it privately.

You can start a thread on any topic and get people to respond. There are people in the world who don't think races should mix. They exist across the globe. But there's not a debate about this in America.
The royal families do not engage in selective breeding.
Selective breeding, as practiced on dogs and domestic animals, are done to preferentially select for certain alleles and physical traits.
Royal intermarriage as traditionally practiced was on the basis of political advantage, not on the basis of the physical traits of individuals.
