(CNN) Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee slammed House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi for her comments on the decision to tap Ben Carson as head of Housing and Urban Development, asking if she is "racist or just dumb?"

Huckabee, who became a Trump surrogate after he dropped out of the 2016 Republican primary, tweeted on Monday, "Ben Carson is first HUD Sec to have actually lived in gov't housing. Fancy Nancy Pelosi says he's not qualified; is she racist or just dumb?"

I think Carson is an excellent pick for HUD director. He's an outsider. He grew up poor in Detroit so he knows first hand what poor urban people deal with.

And Pelosi is a racist lol.

While the first Democratic debate was in full swing, candidates Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Lincoln Chafee, Jim Webb and Martin O'Malley were addressing tough questions about systemic racism, incarceration rates and inequality.
While they were doing that, the Twitter account of Republican candidate and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee*was busy sending a racist joke about Asians, just minutes after claiming the United States has a "sin problem," not a "skin problem."
 
Carson's a sell-out just like the rest who bared their necks like submissive canines when the brass ring was dangled in front of them.
