Is it our job to fight Iran?

Do you believe ones training affects the legality of an action?

Do you believe that If one can effectuate an arrest (especially for a non-violent crime) without causing a life or death situation, it ABSOLUTELY should be done that way.

Do you believe If an officer intentionally causes the life or death situation, he should not be allowed to use deadly force to then resolve the situation.

I understand the facts can be bent to justify either side, so lets go with the above hypothetical theory based questions.

Well, considering I asked about his training you would think that may be something I was considering. Do you have the capability to read what I said rather than repeatedly asking a question that has already been answered?

I know what you were considering, that is why I asked the question, to hash it out. To see what you thought about the basis for your question.

My question has not been answered.

Your question has been answered. You just did not like the response.

You responded to the question but did not answer it. I do not know how you feel about his training or your opinion about how that affects the law. Its not a gotcha, its an attempt at discussion.

I believe that you can figure it out from my response, that this is just repeating a question already asked and answered. You do not like what I responded, didn't answer the question that was posed, then asked the same question again. I also think that this conversation has little to do with Iran.

It would depend on the training. Do you think he was violating training when he was taking video evidence? When he watched her shift the car from park do you think he was not doing something he was trained to do?
Considering the entire circumstance, I believe he was doing exactly what he was trained to do. I believe he was trained to put himself in a situation where the target either complied, or was shot dead.

I do not believe that is good training and it puts the officer in a very bad situation. There might be situations where doing such a thing is proper, like a mass shooting subject that must be stopped because others will very likely be killed. Renee Good was not one of those people.

I can make guesses as to your position, but I do not know it, and if we are going to intelligently discuss it, I would need to know your position. In fact there are several reasonable and contradictory assumptions that could be made about your position. It's easier to ask.

I try not to assume anyone's position in a discussion.

I think he was trained to bring a camera to record the interaction once the other Agent issued the "get out of the vehicle" order, hence my statement that he did just that. I don't think the purpose of the training is to create a situation where someone is shot, I don't even believe you think that, the idea is absurd. If such was the case there would have been far more people shot by now.

You might be correct about that. It looks to me like both, he saw he might be in the line of escape that she would take, and did nothing but pull his gun. I wish he had taken a step back instead of pulling his gun.

See, I assumed you were claiming that he put himself in front of the vehicle due his training.... I am glad I asked. There is another discussion going on about officers being trained to do just that.

You, instead were saying that he was trained to come over with a camera to assist. Much more reasonable of a position. My assumption was wrong.

And they have been killing Americans for Almost 50 years so only some of use are still alive. But as long as you and your cats are OK you don't care about anyone else.
You're FOS, and a binary thinker to boot. Maybe we should stop endlessly meddling in other countries' business and focus on fixing our own problems for a change.

So you think it is OK for Iran to kill American non-combatants? Iran has tried to kill our President. They have also killed American businessmen in other countries. They tied to kill Masih Alinejad, an American citizen while she was in America but I know that didn't bother you or your cats.:rolleyes2:

Go ahead, tell me what I was thinking or feeling, you have such stellar mind-reading skills.

What is Europe doing about Iran, if anything?
