Joel Bennet, the attorney for one of Horny Herman's alleged victims says his client "endured multiple encounters" with the failed pizza exec, who refused to answer questions about the charges.
Questioned about Cain’s denials this week that he harassed the woman, Bennett said: “Those statements are inaccurate, factually.” Note for conservatives - that means the lawyer said Cain is lying.
He added: “Mr. Cain knows the specific incidents that were alleged. My client filed a written complaint in 1999 against him specifically and it had very specific incidents in it and if he chose to not remember, or not acknowledge those, that’s his issue.”
In their own statement, the restaurant association confirmed that the woman “filed a formal internal complaint” and that Cain disputed the charges.
Bennett answered a slew of questions carefully, and noted that his client’s claims were buttressed by the complaints of other women against Cain.
“There’s an expression – where there’s smoke, there’s fire,” said the attorney.
“The fact that there are multiple complaints tells me that it’s more likely than not that there was some sexual harassment activity by this man at that time.”
