Is he Cinderella's sister?

A bush can not be added or removed without the approval of the Architectural Committee.

It took six months for my daughter to get a fence approved at her house...2 presentations to the Board and a binder an inch thick with photos and specs.

It was approved.

You have to love home owners associations.

The Home Owners association for the White House...is...

...what?

We, the People?

Anyway, amazingly there are people here in JPP who do not give a shit that Trump does whatever he wants to do withoiut any regard for rules.

There is not enough shame for this generation to cover itself.

Actually makes me happy I have so little time left.

Otra vez:

Renovations of the White House are permitted under exceptions to the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) of 1966, which is the federal law that typically governs historic properties. The White House, U.S. Capitol, and Supreme Court are exempted from the NHPA's formal Section 106 review process.

exemption-l...

According to Section 107 of the act, three buildings and their grounds are exempt from the Section 106 review process: the White House, the US Capitol and the US Supreme Court building.

Thank goodness for small favors

We the people spoke last November and elected President Trump-to make decisions that affect all Americans.

One of them is renovations at the White House.

I am pleased as punch at the renderings of the new addition (at no taxpayer expense).

Now on to peace deals and trade deals with the Chinese.

Leftists don't care that trump was duly elected. They object only because it's trump.

Or... Hear me out. He thinks that asking the powerful people the Presidents regularly invite to use port-a-potties and eat outside in the tents is not good enough.

Don't care much for Trump, but this butthurt over a large venue room for entertaining the guests of the most powerful nation in the world is simply Orange Man Bad Syndrome.
As I have said, no problem with the ballroom, my problem is with the lying, the funding and the unilateral decision.

That someone agrees with you that you should be happy you have so little time left is kind of disturbing...
It's really not that bad, Frank...and if you're still playing golf And you're this feisty, you've got some mileage left...;)

Right, a gaudy gold gilded monstrosity of a Ballroom is a stupid thing to build on the historic executive grounds of America's democratic republic.

We told royalty and monarchy to piss off two centuries ago - and up until now we did not recreate the gaudy excesses of royalty in our public architecture.
It will quickly be redesigned, without the gold.

Renovations are not demolition.

But, why did Trump lie?

I think that there is an expectation to treat visiting dignitaries a bit better than port-a-potties and outdoor potlucks. Do you think you'd be happy with China putting Obama outside and telling him to use the port-a-potty? I think you are lying if you say yes.
I agree. I have not heard anyone claim a ballroom would not be useful.

He was elected to be a constitutionally limited executive. There is nothing in his grant of power that allows him to demolish parts of the White House.
