It turns out her corpse was lying in Rock Creek Park as the alleged victim of a no-name, common criminal who had a history of violence. So much for the conspiracy theories about the Washington power elite. So much for Baltimore Harbor and being sold into white slavery to Middle Eastern sheiks. None of that was remotely true, which should make us all take a moment and reconsider the most important lesson that arose out of the Chandra Levy case, that journalism should be based on facts, not theories.

In 2006, I spoke directly with one of the lead detectives from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department who was assigned to the Chandra Levy case. I was intrigued when he told me they had “no interest in Gary Condit as a suspect,” and as a result, I pitched that story to several news outlets. To my surprise no one was interested in reporting it.

Maybe that’s because vindication isn’t as enticing as accusation.

The specific accusations that arose from the national media against Gary Condit were so detailed they couldn’t have been anything but pure fabrication or the result of journalists failing to properly investigate. In retrospect, some of them were totally absurd and laughable if the damage they caused to Condit’s life and career wasn’t so tragic.

Here's a transcript of one segment of Hnaanity & Colmes where BOTH hosts and a couple guests all savage Condit and make numerous vague allegations....go read it.

I read the transcript, I didn't see anyone claiming what you accused, can you please copy and paste it here?

I see people giving opinions on things, I see Hanity asking pertinent questions that needed to be asked at the time... I see at least two die-hard Liberals chiming in, but what I don't see, even from Mark Furman and Ted Williams, is a direct accusation that Condit killed Chandra Levy and hid the body, or even the opinion they THINK that may have happened. They do seem to be concerned with why he hadn't been forthcoming with information and refused to talk to the media. That's a FAR FUCKING CRY from accusations and allegations being made.

Once more, the transcript does not show what you accused earlier. You said that right wing family values people claimed he killed Chandra Levy and hid the body. Nothing in this transcript shows anything of the sort to be the case, in fact, it somewhat proves you are lying, because it lacks anything remotely close to what you claimed, from probably the biggest rightie on the planet, Sean Hanity!

office, especially in light of the fact that said congressman has decided not to run again
because of his affair and subsequent impregnation of an unnamed aide? Why isn’t Sean
Hannity regaling us with conspiracy theories about Joe Scarborough and the possibility he
had Klausutis murdered to keep her mouth shut? Bob Dornan goes on O’Reilly’s show to
talk about the Condit case and ends up yowling about Clinton being a draft dodger who had
no business being commander-in-chief.

The facts are that I've provided several links to information showing what Condit dealt with and there's THOUSANDS MORE out there...all you've got to do is a Google search.

As to Hannity and O'Reilly...the discussion is about the smear job the RightWing did to Gary Condit during the Chandra Levy investigation...I've provided links and information showing that several talking heads subjected Condit to the same hatchet job they have used on Obama for the past two years.

That willfully ignorant Righties like yourself simply can't admit when they've been shown to be wrong, isn't my problem.

I've provided links and information proving rightWing talking heads did indeed engage in character assasination during the Levy investigation.

I can't help it if you are just another willfully ignorant Rightie who would gleefully play the clueless fool, rather than admit I am right.

But I do understand...someone as narrow minded as yourself obviously would NEVER agree with facts and information you didn't already agree with 110%.
