Is anyone here in disagreement with the Democrat prediction of gaining house seats?

MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN
So their was a lot of hype about a "BLUE WAVE".

Do our liberal posters here still agree with the Democrat line that we will experience a blue wave and the Democrats will gain seats in the House and in the Senate?

NO! Unless the #'s get massaged in the machinery AFTER THE VOTERS LEAVE!

I think the consensus is the Democrats take the House and the Republicans hold the Senate and maybe gain a seat or two.

The democrats will probably take the House. But I thought Hillary would probably beat Trump, so yeah lol.

The interesting question is what will democrats do, if they take the House? If they don’t do anything constructive they could easily lose it again in 2020.

‘Constructive’ isn’t opening, yet another, the Trump investigation. Neither is obstructing just be obstructing.

Neither will win votes for democrats. It isn’t simply about getting power back—it’s what you accomplish after you get it. Even many of Trump’s detractors admit that Trump has accomplished much in two years.

What can they do constructive with just the House? They can't pass any legislation without the Senate and president, so they are limited to investigations and threats of impeachment. Or, like the Republicans who kept voting to repeal Obamacare, keep voting for bills they know cannot pass.

Can you keep a secret? (looking both ways ... and lowering voice)

A Holy War is about to unfold. Yes. It is surprising that Democrats will adopt the Republican Strategy used on Barack Obama. But, you know what they say, Pay Back is a Mother Fucker.
It will be Trench Warfare for the next two years, I doubt much will get accomplished. Maybe an 'Infrastructure Bill'? Maybe an 'Immigration Bill'? But basically, ... a Scorched Earth Policy of Total Annihilation.
It will be centered around 2020 and the next President. If not Trump, the Republicans still have Pence. The Democrats ... ?

Look, it's still a few days before the Election, keep this under your hat, last thing we want to do is rile up the Republicans. Let it be a surprise. (wink)

Democrats will gain in the House and lose in the Senate.

Not a liberal but I do hope to check back next week and enjoy your excuses and rationales.

It may seem like hair-splitting, perhaps it is. By my read of the net political mood of the nation, it's not so much that the Dems are gaining, as the Republicans are losing.

Obviously the end result is the same.

President Trump promised:
- drain the swamp
- MAGA
- I'm gunna build a wall / Mexico is gunna pay for it
- etc.

Trump has broken those promises. But what promise have the Democrats offered? I wouldn't even know what to expect from a Democrat congress, should we get one. Would you?
