They shouldn't collect taxes from mafia, gang members, and other criminals who may be armed?
I doubt they collect taxes at the barrel of a gun.

A review of the IRS job board shows the agency is seeking to hire armed agents in all 50 states.

Gestapo is here
Why is Volsrock so worried? He probably never ever made enough money to even pay taxes.
His parents probably still carry him as a dependent!
Hannity just told himThere have always been armed IRS agents, I’m surprised volsrock is just now finding this out.
The IRS got Al Capone. Federal Air Marshals got... Hmmm... Uhmmm... Can anyone remember a success of the Federal Air Marshals? Even one?
They make 4.2 arrests a year, for an average cost of $200 million per arrest. The vast majority of the arrests are for drunk and disorderly offenses. Basically people shouting loudly. So we are spending more than the cost of a new plane to arrest someone who is shouting loudly. We could save money by just leaving him on the plane, and buying a new plane for the trip. Sooner or later, the drunkard would leave the plane of his own accord.
I am only half joking.
Yea wally, We spend millions on nuclear weapons but do not use them either. Your logic sucks.
I doubt they collect taxes at the barrel of a gun.*sign this check or else*
really? what do you think happens if you don't pay taxes and then resist their attempts to collect?
Usually, the IRS seizes assets for failure to pay. For the most part, they will not even arrest for failure to pay. They mostly arrest for actually tax fraud, lying about how much is owed Failure to pay mostly ends up being a civil issue.
There could be violence when they attempt to seize assets. Obviously, they can take away the money in the bank with no violence, but taking someone's home does involve moving them away from their home. The IRS does not personally do that, but rather has other government law enforcement do it.
IRS special agents are mostly used for questioning potentially violent suspects. That both requires the IRS involvement, and also requires being armed. It is not a common occurrence, which is why there are so few armed special agents needed.
my point was that every law written comes with the threat of death for non compliance.
There is no 'firearm qualified'. Anyone can carry a gun.Anyone carry a gun for the federal government is required to be firearm qualified.
Blatant lie. That means they are not just trained, and tested, but they go through continual training and testing.
Blatant lie.The IRS generally hires their special agents from other federal law enforcement agencies.
So you have no problem with people that are untrained in tax law shooting people over a dispute, right? They have such a small number of special agents it does not make sense for them to train their own.
Law enforcement is not law. Rogue agents can occur in any force. This really is a very, very small law enforcement force. I do not see what the big deal is.
Night actually caught on to the insanity. The alt right says everyone should carry a gun, except a few highly trained federal law enforcement agents?
Really? Very few laws have a death penalty.
So citizens can open carry a gun in New York?
They shouldn't collect taxes from mafia, gang members, and other criminals who may be armed?
I have always been in favor of gun control. Anyone carrying or owning a gun should go through a background check, and get training. And some people just should not be allowed to own or carry a gun.
I believe that for citizens, and I believe that even more for law enforcement.
Why on earth would a IRS special agent shoot me over a tax debt? They want to get the debt paid, not to shoot someone over it.
Teachers are not considered law enforcement agents. School law enforcement agents are considered law enforcement agents, as are IRS special agents.
