Iran’s central bank warns economy may take 12 years to rebuild after war

The damage is much lighter than I though. Given their economy pre-war and with widespread destruction to their steel and petrochemical industries as well as the UAE seizing liquid funds I though it would take decades for Iran to recover.

This convinces me that this fruitless ceasefire has to end and more damage must be inflicted on Iran to prevent them from becoming a threat in the future.
We are not going to bomb Iran into submission, Iran is too tenacious, they’re not Venezuela. They fought a losing war with Iraq where over 200,000 Iranians were killed subjecting themselves to Iraqi chemical weapons and suicidal wave attacks.

You might safely say Trump has dragged us into yet another ME quagmire

If your really interested the main difference between the Iran Iraq war and this one is that in the Iran iraq war there was a front that fought but everyone behind that front still lived there lives and kept the internal economy going.

In this conflict no one is working. Everyone is taking shelter since the entirety of Iran is the battlefield. Combine this with the removal of internet and you have 90 million people who are going to need humanitarian aid to go on and none is coming

Your first problem is believing a word of that article. Sadly, we've grown accustomed to reading stories like that one in America as well. I remember in my early years as a political junkie, I began reading Chinese newspapers every day. No reporter names, no named sources, no details that allowed any follow-up or confirmation of the story whatsoever.

This piece is identical in every respect and instantly reminded me of those fabrications. It is complete and total bullshit. They are deliberately lowering expectations without offering even a glimpse into the absolute destruction they have endured. People need a narrative that is at least somewhat believable. Right now, many of the brain-dead Iranian drones, similar to the drones here, still swallow the state media's tales whole. Stories about Iran totally wiping out Tel Aviv, destroying much of Israel, killing thousands of American soldiers, and sinking an American carrier, and so on.

Sadly, over the years I have watched our own media adopt the exact same tactics used by authoritarian regimes: spreading outright lies or lying by omission of facts that clearly belong in the story. I do not know; it is entirely possible that China learned these methods from the New York Times decades ago.

The people in Iran were told the internet had to be shut down to prevent cyber-attacks, yet even the brain-dead drones there are now scratching their heads. 'Why is there still no internet if we're winning? Where are our leaders and why are they hiding? Why are the checkpoints unmanned? Why are we hurting economically so badly if we're winning so decisively?' Keep in mind that the IRGC supporters, like the radical American drones, are a small minority of the more than ninety million people. That said, it is still millions.

Right now there is complete chaos in the Iranian leadership, including a violent split developing even among the militant followers. Everyone is suspicious that they are being lied to, and each person fears the other could be a capitulator with the enemy. One side thinks they should make a deal with America if the Americans 'admit they've lost,' lol. The other half is livid at the mere thought of any deal with Satan and wants to 'continue to destroy us,' lol. Then there are the millions of ordinary Iranian people waiting patiently for the signal to take their country back. Some have already begun.

The recent 'human shields' the IRGC tried to organize, instructing supporters to surround power plants and line the bridges, drew very small crowds compared to any time in the regime's fifty-year history when it called for a show of support. It was an embarrassment. Most media outlets are ignoring these stories completely. Why? I have been wondering that every single day since the war started, and I am sure many others have as well. I am aware of the gas prices; it is a story, but hardly the story, yet that seems to be the entire focus of the lazy, pathetic, and often nefarious players in the American media.

Admittedly, it is not easy to find reliable sources that answer the questions I am asking. I did find one that I have followed through every live feed since, and I am glad I did. Many of those questions are addressed there, and so far this source has been accurate and truthful. As a bonus, his opinions align perfectly with my own perspective.

If anyone wants to know what has really been happening inside Iran and why the geopolitical players are saying and doing such dumbass things, go to Tousi TV's YouTube channel and watch every live feed from the last month. It is the only news source that has gotten it right from day one. He reports only what is verified and accurate. He left Iran as a teenager, and his father still lives in Tehran. He maintains high-level sources all over the world and inside Iran. Honestly, after watching his reports this past month, I can barely stand the clueless idiots in the mainstream media. Fox is only slightly better, but most of their coverage remains incomplete at best.

The next thing I would tell you is that Hawkeye is an anti-American troll. He has literally never been right about anything, not once, ever. Sometimes I think he is a foreigner whose actual job is to spread anti-American empire propaganda as relentlessly as possible. His posts can be entertaining, but they are utterly useless if you are looking for information that is not clipped from people even crazier than he is. Just ask for his sources, and if he reveals them, check into them and you will see exactly what I am talking about.

Finance ministers urge US, Israel, to uphold ceasefire

Finance ministers from countries including the United Kingdom, Japan and Australia on Wednesday urged the United States and Israel to fully implement a ceasefire and warned of risks to the global economy.

“We call on The United States and Israel to implement a ceasefire in full,” the ministers said in a joint statement.

The ministers -- from the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Sweden, the Netherlands, Finland, Spain, Norway, the Republic of Ireland, Poland and New Zealand -- warned that “renewed hostilities, a widening of the conflict or continued disruption in the Strait of Hormuz would pose serious additional risks” to energy security and financial stability.

They also called for “a swift and lasting negotiated resolution” and a return to “free and safe transit through the Strait of Hormuz.”

They said they would coordinate economic responses and support vulnerable countries affected by the crisis.
