I doubt they can complete a nuclear weapon in the next few weeks. At that point, unless Trump loses his nerve completely, Iran will be plunged into darkness and the road and rail system rendered useless. Running centrifuges for enrichment requires a lot of power. You can't hide a power plant of that size in some tunnel or shaft. Without power, the Iranian nuclear program grinds to a halt.

They don't have the alternative which would be a graphite moderated fast fission reactor to make plutonium, so they're screwed.

Iran gives weapons and funding to the Houthi who have tried hard to close the Red Sea and who have also attacked Saudi Arabia and Oman. They give weapons and funding to Hezbollah and Hamas to attack Israel. They're funding Shiite groups in Iraq to overthrow the government there. Regionally, they're now the leading sponsor of terrorist groups.

Its worse than I thought. In addition to removal of all sanctions and ability to charge passage thru Hormuz Iran also gets reparations for war damages, removal of all US bases, and a nuclear program for Iran.

Its hard to see this as anything but an utter humiliation of the US. At least in Vietnam or Afghanistan we were able to fight for years. It took Trump one month to sign a surrender agreement more shameful than Versailles.

Edit: At this point the GOP may as well pack it up. A successful outcome of this war was the one shot they had at the midterms. Abject surrender means that the GOP loses midterms and the next presidency and you will probably see Tucker Carlson someone who is ready to give up Asia to China as the GOP frontrunner in the future. MAGA will be totally discredited.

Not acceptable.

Iran will have no say over the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran is to not enrich uranium, not even for a power plant.
Sanctions will remain as long as that government remains in power.
The Iran government will get no compensation.
US combat forces will remain. Iran has no say.
There is no one-sided cease fire. Iran cannot call for cease fire and then ignore it.

In other words, nothing less than unconditional surrender.
