So libs and Obama told us Iran can be trusted, we should give them 150 billion dollars, they'll never break this deal. Islamic maniacs are trustworthy. Stop being bigoted racists!

Well turns out cons were right. Iran violates the treaty, and once again promises to wipe Israel off the earth.

Obama failed again. This is a disaster. We should not have given these people 1 dollar. Epic fail.

It is just posturing by the hardliners, no different to the extreme right in the US. The imams know full well that they need to give the young some hope for the future and prevent a counter revolution.

In three years it will be the 40th anniversary of the revolution. It would be nice to see some imams dragged through the streets of Tehran and hanged from the tops of towers.

You'd do well to indicate which treaty has been broken and who it is that ' promises to wipe Israel off the earth. '

The Iranians claim that no treaties have been broken and those able to speak Farsi will state that Ahmadinejad's actual phrase was that ' Zionism will fade from the pages of time '- which is undeniably true and the sooner the better. Still, let's see your own evidence.

are you seriously comparing the "extreme right" of the US to the hardliners in Iran?
It's taking a great leap of faith that apocalyptic Shi'a isn't the endgame for Iran -that the clerics really aren't driven to fulfilling the
return of the Twelfth Imam.
But since Iran is a true theocracy it's a very dangerous game going on.

Most people in Iran are not only sane, they are young and Western looking. How do I know this? Well for one thing there are a number of Iranian post grads at the university where I go swimming and they tell me about it. They are desperate to reintegrate with the world at large and the imams know that to prevent a revolution and their demise they need to modernise. The clerics are frankly more interested in feathering their own nests and living in the swanky suburbs of North Teheran, you should know that but obviously don't.

yes I know all this. I know Tehran has more nose jobs then Beverly Hills, California , USA -and I've seen some really pretty women in Tehran.
But there is also the fashion police, and the conservative rural areas.

None of which really address what I was saying about apocalyptic Shi'a. It's the one caveat that really gives the world pause
as they inexorably test their ballistic missiles ( inevitable nuclearization).
It's the leadership that is a true fundamentalist ( sic) Islamic theocracy is in question.

Do I think they are headed towards Armageddon? hopefully not...

Purely defensive purposes- just like ours- and they don't have nuclear armaments, unlike us and Israel.

As vapid as that comparison is, there are people who make it. Worse than that, they actually believe it.

yes

if they could have complete control they would kill people

I have no doubts about it

Wait launching rockets is giving the young hope?

Hopefully if another revolution happens our POTUS doesn't stand silently and not speak a word.

There was a clause in the treaty that says they will not test fire ballistic missiles. I don't remember the exact number, but this is a clear violation of it.

Yeah I don't recall the far right in America calling on the death of all non believers and creating a caliphate, but maybe that's just me.

Hopefully not is not a strategy we should endorse.

Having a radical islamic regime in charge of nukes should be everyone's worst nightmare.

I forgot to ban retard from the thread. My fault.

So desh, you are antisemitic now too?

well that's the thing,,they will eventually get nukes -they are making every effort to do so short of the actual enrichment.
So when this agreement runs out -they'll be ready.

But they were headed that way anyhow -so what did the agreement really do for us..
kick the can own the road (at best) as far as I can see..

Ithin k we might have done better limiting their regional hegemony but the agreement specifically wasn't linked
to anything else.

So what did it accomplish except give them a bunch of frozen money?
It wasn't so much it was a bad agreement, but it really doesn't serve our interests either.

I have news for you, Pakistan has over 100 nuclear warheads they are far more of a threat to world peace but I don't see you acknowledging that fact.
Hopefully if another revolution happens our POTUS doesn't stand silently and not speak a word.
