Interesting, Trump says today's events prove "no collusion,"

Trump Collusiongate is FAR more interesting than Nixon's Watergate clusterfuck

The Nixon (first and only president to resign, in disgrace no less) bust had many, many culprits but not like this one!

Mueller's a busy man!

"Trump Collusiongate is FAR more interesting than Nixon's Watergate cluster ..." rg #81
Perhaps the main difference:
Nixon was not in &, and probably didn't know directly about the Watergate break-in.
Nixon didn't go off the rails because of the burglary.
Nixon went off the rails because of the cover-up.

Contrast that to Trump. There's Trump fingerprints all over this crime spree.

What statute does synergy violate?

That's where we get into High Crimes and Treasonous impeachable acts- the act of cohorting with an adversary government to try and sway an election.

It is not only unethical, and not only just illegal, it is a Treasonous act and an impeachable offense!

Nice going there Donald Trump! LOL!

a theme I see the nightly Fox demogogues are also pounding home.

Simple question, if Trump believes there is no collusion why does he find the need to tell everyone nearly daily that there was no collusion? If you know you are innocent of a charge, why the compulsion to repeat as often as you can to anyone who will listen that you are innocent?

I must say I don't pay any attention to anything Don says.

The Trump campaign was offered “political synergy” from Russia as early as 2015, according to...

Synergy:

the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.

Yes, we can prosecute Russians. We just won't prosecute them unless they are extradited to the US.

Charging a foreign individual with a crime means that individual can't travel to any country that has an extradition treaty with the US.

Well, it’s true that we can indict them. We can indict ham sandwiches, as the saying goes.

But from a practical standpoint, we can’t prosecute Russians unless they appear in court. The one Russian who hired a lawyer to represent him currently has Mullet stymied in court lol. One wonders how much merit the Russian indictments actually have.

But back to Mullet’s appointment: SP’s aren’t typically appointed to do intelligence gathering and indict foreigners since that can be done by the IC and any federal prosecutor just as effectively—and much cheaper.

How did we end up with Mullet again?

The answer is to reinforce the idea in the minds of the people, called political spin. Trump does it poorly by repeating the claim twice in one sitting and repeatedly, but all politicians and media do it. It works well if it's done well.

It sure got a lot of people believing collusion is a crime lol.

It is, it's collusion with the intent to commit treason.

Read this statute and get back with us:

18 U.S. Code § 2381

Collusion—if you want to use the term in a legal sense, only applies in antitrust law. Synergy with Russians isn’t a crime, either. Campaign law would only come into play if Russians made a donation. It’s actually legal within campaign law for a foreign agent to freely donate their time to a campaign.

They can even donate information since campaign laws don’t consider information to be ‘things of value’.

So even if the Russian lawyer in the Trump Tower meeting handed Junior an envelope with Hillary’s emails in it, it’s only a crime if Junior *conspired* with the Russians to hack into her computer. That’s the bar Mullet needs to clear and don’t let the Fake Newsers tell you differently.

Simply making the content of the emails public knowledge [actually, a public service in this instance lol] isn’t a crime because journalists publish illegally acquired information in the form of leaks PRACTICALLY DAILY.

And if they want to open that can of worms just get at Trump, they should be prepared to make the jails bigger.

Because they are going to need the space.

You kids are just too simplistically stupid to understand anything that doesn't suit your frothing at the mouth political agendas, and that's the reason why I won't be wasting good time on you. You owe yourself an education on the basics of the law.

Get back to me when you're at least able to refer to Mueller by his proper name.

Talking to a Canadian is a privilege you'll have to earn and you've started out really badly. We pretty much think of Trump supporters as the equivalent of vermin, until they can show otherwise.

The statute is about treason, but there is another legal definition of collusion.

Collusion
An agreement between two or more people to defraud a person of his or her rights or to obtain something that is prohibited by law.

A secret arrangement wherein two or more people whose legal interests seemingly conflict conspire to commit Fraud upon another person; a pact between two people to deceive a court with the purpose of obtaining something that they would not be able to get through legitimate judicial channels.
