Seems the Kafkaesqe Jan 6 committee all of a sudden wants to interview Ray Epps. But didn't they already interview him? They said they did a couple of weeks ago. Now they're going to do it in public for the first time. I guess their other "interview" was by telepathy or clairvoyance...

Interestingly, Epps shows up on a database of Oath Keepers and is an early member. Even as the FBI rounds up members of that group for little more than being members, some even not present at the Capitol on Jan 6, Epps has not been contacted by the FBI, interviewed, or arrested and charged for his presence at that riot.

They only held a preliminary information session with him back in November, and because they are thorough want him for a more formal hearing, probably also to quell right wing conspiracies promoted by Tucker and echoed by Donnie, like one guy based on statements from wingers convinced all the insurrectionists to invade and trash the Capitol

I don't see that from the Politifact article. What I see is no one seems to really know Ray Epps in the least. Carleson presents one version, Politifact another, neither based on any really solid evidence. Then there's the Jan 6 committee. They claim to have interviewed him but I don't buy that either. They offer nothing to support it. On the other hand, now that Epps has become a political hot potato of sorts the Jan 6 committee wants to interview him in a public setting.

It all sounds like week old fish left out. Who's telling the truth here? Likely nobody.

Now there is the common denominator for all these right wing conspiracies, "Carlson presents one version," which is exactly what it is, Tucker's opinion, no proof or documentation, just Tucker saying such based upon extreme circumstantial events, one can not disprove that which has yet to be proven, yet the right runs with it as if it were a fact.

So, you cherry pick one side and pillory it while ignoring the other sides and angles in this story. It is you that is demagoguing, not me. I read the Politico article. There was little to nothing fact based in it. The one thing we do know is that the Jan 6 committee released statements a couple of weeks ago saying they'd interviewed Epps and he was in essence, a nothing burger. Now they're saying they are going to interview him. That clearly means they lied about having previously interviewed him.

Who Epps is and who he might be working for (note the might in that), isn't clear. I doubt the Jan 6 committee will clear things up, particularly if Epps says something that goes against the narrative they want to frame. It's also clear Epps is or was a member of the Oath Keepers, and an early joiner. We also know that once Epps became a public figure, he disappeared from FBI wanted lists and that the FBI has not interviewed or otherwise investigated him.

Wray cleared it up again yesterday, and currently, due to the death threats he has received, the guy is suing Fox in Federal Court

Wray cleared up nothing. He was there primarily to do a CYA operation. What was he going to say, that Epps was actually and FBI operative? We don't know if he was or not, but you can take it to the bank the FBI, at this point, won't admit he was, if he was. It's like Biden telling people he wasn't involved in Hunter's shit when it's damn obvious he was into it up to his eyeballs.

FOX didn't know if he was or not when it plastered his name all over a scandal, nor did anyone else know or not when they jumped on board with it, and made Epps' life a living nightmare for himself and his family for two years.
 
Ray Epps must have some really telling things to say about 1/6 and how he became involved in it.

And who seems to be worried the most about his testimony? Because that is very telling also!

Republican Senators and House Representatives- ALSO KNOWN TO MANY AS THE FREEDOM CAUCUS SEEM TO BE THE MOST WORRIED!

So the trick now for the Freedom Caucus, that seems to have the most to worry about his testimony, is to try and discredit Epps, and create an intentional conspiracy theory based purely upon total lies, that he was a secret FBI agent.

WOW! Talk about desperate, and talk about fear!

This is more of a sign of guilt that Freedom Caucus House and Senate Members were directly involved in the planning and financing of 1/6.

And a clear sign that the FBI now has the goods on them!

And that this FREEDOM CAUCUS led investigations into the 1/6 House Investigations and Special Council Investigations has been nothing more than a distraction all along to cover up the Freedom Caucus involvement into the 1/6 crimes.

Well Epps will face self imposed discovery and testimony under oath in court now, due to his own actions. Those he is suing, including Fox, have the ability and incentive now to ferret out any truths with their investigatory teams.


It does not look like Epps fear any truths coming out based on him putting himself in the cross hairs.

Wray cleared nothing up yesterday. He was wrung out and left to dry in the hearings.

Who would be threatening poor old Ray? Prolly his fellow FBI agents that do not want to be exposed.
