Not hearing much about this from the media, but it bears reporting
A Republican came close to winning outright, but it looks they will square off in a runoff. My guess is the dems will launch everything at him. They can't afford to lose this heading into the midterms.
But, his is a phenomenal showing considering
1) The district has a 22% dem registration voter advantage
2) The district is 60% hispanic
3) His opponent is a female hispanic
4) The dems outspent him massively
5) The resigning incumbent won by 21% last election
It goes to show that issues matter and there is no need to pander. But,will the establishment GOP pay attention? Probably not because they are dumb fucks
