Inside The White House & Syria

I just finished reading this article. It's long but definitely worth the read. Especially in light of Obama's decision to arm the rebels. Obviously Obama is very, very hesitant to get involved in this. And reading this, honestly, what a cluster fuck. What are we supposed to do?? The freaking rebels have large numbers of Al Qaeda. Assad obviously is a murderer. Who are the good guys here? How do we get involved in this without eventual and terrible blowback? As one official said "we've seen this movie already". It doesn't end well for the United States. I suppose I should have made that a spoiler!

As to any Brits who might be on this board, tongues hanging out at the thought of yet another war, encouraging the US to hop to it - you first gents! We'll get out of your way. Please, go ahead of us. I'll hold the door open. With a cluster fuck like this one, I feel that England being ever so much more civilized, and as we know quite a bit smarter! should take the first crack.

This could end up much worse than Iraq.

The fucking Clinton's are dangerous .. both of them.

Yea, it's a lose/lose situation for the US and I'm glad I don't have to make these kinds of difficult decisions but until the situation arizes to a clear and present danger to our national security I will oppose the direct involvement of US troops.

Only 11% of Americans support this action the Clinton's are salivating to jump into.

Somebody tell me again about how dangerous Bush was and how sane the Clinton's are .. so I can throw-up.

I agree all around, this is a lose/lose, and I would not want to be in the oval office. It's obvious that tremendous pressure has been brought to bear. I don't even want to arm the rebels, where are those arms going to end up? It's like a bunch of assholes got into a fight. Like let's say Dy and ILA get into a big fight, who cares? But I do see the potential for this to spill across the Syrian borders obviously, and fast. The pressure on Obama must be unimaginable and if you ask me, no matter what he does, including nothing, he's fucked.

It seems as if McCain is the biggest mouth urging our involvement, at least out in the open. I don't know what's going on behind the scenes, but I don't think Obama would feel pressured to act over the Clintons.

Obama acted immediately after Bill Clinton agreed with McCain and said that Obama is looking like "a wuss."

the Clintons have some alterior motives.

She is no longer in his cabinet.

She is running you can bet from the looks of this one.

No troops no matter what.

When your on the side of democracy for REAL you dont pick and choose who is seeking it.

Clinton's an ass. Of all the reasons to involve the United States in a sectarian civil war, even if it's just as a providers of arms, I can't think of a worse reason than "so you don't look like a wuss."

The mic pays the Clinton's a lot of money.
