According to Breitbart News’s John Carney, the median Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.7 percent compared with the prior month. It accelerated from June’s 0.5 percent increase. The median CPI reflects only measures in the center of CPI’s price changes.
“The unrounded figure of 0.73789 percent is the highest on record, slightly above the previous record of 0.73078 percent set in June,” Carney wrote. “This is equivalent to an annual rate of inflation of 9.2 percent. That is the highest on record.”
The median CPI is 6.7 percent, the biggest 12-month rise since 1983, when the metric began to be recorded 39 years ago.
And Biden did exactly what to cause these price increases?
Buying any kind of meat right now is going to be a giant rip-off. There are reasons why meat prices rose. First of all, there are only about 4 meat processing plants in America basically that serves the entire nation, and several other countries. When the pandemic hit full stride, these packing houses had to shut themselves down- THEMSELVES! Why?
Because the meat processing employees all got sick all at once, many of them died, and so they shut their own plants down, and they started coming back very slowly, because well, the dead ones were dead, and the sick ones didn't want their jobs back- BECAUSE THEY SAID NO ONE PUT ANY PRECAUTIONS IN PLACE TO PREVENT THEM FROM MAKING EACH OTHER SICK- NO MASK REQUIREMENTS- No Distancing- ETC.
SO TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, THESE MEAT PROCESSING CENTERS ARE NOW GOUGING THEIR PRICES TO TRY AND RECOVER FROM THE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS THEY LOST DURING THEIR SHUT-DOWNS CAUSED, BY NOT TAKING THE VIRUS SERIOUSLY enough, AND THE FACT THAT THEY DID NOT CARE ENOUGH ABOUT THEIR EMPLOYEES TO KEEP THEM SAFE. THEY HAVEN'T EVEN PAID OFF ALL OF THEIR LAW SUITS YET FILED BY THE DEAD EMPLOYEES FAMILY MEMBERS. With no one to process the meat for all those weeks- they lost tons of meat to spoilage etc.
Chicken and eggs? That story is a little different in that these CHICKEN PROCESSING PLANTS had to kill out most of their birds due to the Avian Flu Pandemic that is still ongoing. So they started gouging their prices to try and recover their losses from the Avian flu.
Dairy products- Yet still a different reason, but Dairy Farmers have been pouring out their own milk for years now, because the demand for dairy products has gone significantly down over the last few years, while Dairy Farms have saturated and overpopulated themselves. SO WHY NOT TAKE THIS OPPORTUNE TIME OF INFLATION TO TRY AND RECOVER THEIR LOSSES OF WHAT THEY ARE LITERALLY POURING DOWN THE DRAIN? AND SO GOUGE BABY GOUGE!
As for Fruits and Vegetables, every country in the Western Hemisphere has experienced the worst annual drought ever this year. And that is the reason why farmers say they are having to raise their prices while recovering from their losses. Many farm crops in America were total losses this year due to the drought! Hopefully this isn't too overly sciency for you!
Now that covers most of the items on your list of price increases!
Most of my opinions on inflation and price gouging, I get from farmers and ranchers on a Radio Talk Show on WBAP here in Dallas.
And then there is this:https://www.vox.com/even-better
Any Questions?
