Inflation falls for eighth consecutive month

Claiming Biden caused things that happened when trump was president is as silly as claiming that Carter caused things that happened while Nixon was President.

Biden caused the things that caused inflation........nothing happened when Trump was president that caused inflation........even though you do it really, really badly, thanks for playing.....we always need target dummies.......

How did Carter start double digit inflation in 1974, when he was not President until 1977? How would the then Governor of Georgia cause double digit inflation?

it is so easy to prove that you are an idiot....
the inflation leading up to Carter's presidency......from your link.....

why should I have to stop pointing out your lies?......are you afraid people will notice and think less of you?.......that's not really a problem......you are already at rock bottom except among those who lie with you......

You have the same conversation w/ everyone left of center here, and even center. It's projection.

You don't know how to post truthfully.

Inflation falling for the eight straight month is a hysterical title. That is like me saying I will just hit you in the face 6 times instead of 8 times. Inflation is still WAY TO HIGH. Inflation was 1.4% when Biden took office and it is still more than 4 times that rate now. Now we have the collapse of the 2nd and 3rd largest banks to collapse in history and there is a 3rd bank on life support.

The OP is actually good news.

I swear - reading some of the responses from the right, it's almost like they have a stake in the economy not doing well.

and 30 months ago inflation was under 1.5%......you contradict yourself in your own post......Trump did in fact warne that if you mindess fucks elected Biden it would be bad for the economy.......it has been.....

It has nothing to do with Biden or his policies.

COVID, Trump's delayed response which allowed it to worsen and Russia's invasion of Ukraine all worked in concert to bring the global economy to where it is today.

Only sleazy, lying, fake Xtian scumbags like you push that blatantly obvious lie.

Nobody takes anything you say seriously.

and for yours, inflation that remains at high levels isn't inflation "going down"......its just inflation going up a lot, but slightly slower than it was last month........it is sad you need to cling to that to have "good" news.....

Inflation can be a big problem. The fact that in a little over 2 years, Biden has leveled out the Trump inflation is amazing.

Sorry that you're not seeing it for what it is.

why is inflation up 400% from what it was when Biden took office, good news?........simply because its not up 700% like it used to be?......

Inflation fell for the eighth-straight month in February

(CNN) Inflation's temperature came down a little bit more last month, but the Federal Reserve's campaign to bring down high prices has grown even more complex in recent days.

The Consumer Price Index, a closely watched gauge of inflation, showed that annual price increases continued to slow in February, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on Tuesday.

CPI measured 6% for the year ended in February, down from January's 6.4% and in line with economists' expectations.

It's the eighth consecutive month that the annual rate has declined and marks the lowest level since September 2021.

"Inflation has peaked, but it hasn't gone into hibernation," said Mark Hamrick, senior economic analyst for Bankrate.

Oil is crashing...thankfully.

With the price of oil going down, so does quite a few other products.

SO, inflation didn't fall, but rather the rate of increase decreased a little

So you say that the inflation was caused by actions four years previous? I wonder who was president four years previous to now?

I forgot that when people go into partisan troll mode most facts and any rational discussion is out the window. (That’s assuming actual knowledge of the subject and how monetary policy works, which we probably shouldn’t assume.).

true.....and it was 1.4% the day Biden was inaugurated.......by the way it went UP during Carter and DOWN during Reagan......guess who's to blame for it.....

The 1970's inflation can be easily blamed on Nixon and his extremely compliant Fed Chairman, Burns. The ending of inflation was done by Carter's Fed Chairman, Volcker, and his extreme shock to the economy. The current inflation is also easy to blame on trump, Biden, and all the other people who have run the government in the last four years.

Inflation is not an instant response to government decisions.

Biden caused the things that caused inflation........nothing happened when Trump was president that caused inflation.

Biden was out of government for the beginning of the pandemic, and most of the stimulus, so blaming him for that is nonsense. He did not cause Putin to invade Ukraine, so again silly.
