Inflation fell for the eighth-straight month in February

(CNN) Inflation's temperature came down a little bit more last month, but the Federal Reserve's campaign to bring down high prices has grown even more complex in recent days.

The Consumer Price Index, a closely watched gauge of inflation, showed that annual price increases continued to slow in February, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on Tuesday.

CPI measured 6% for the year ended in February, down from January's 6.4% and in line with economists' expectations.

It's the eighth consecutive month that the annual rate has declined and marks the lowest level since September 2021.

"Inflation has peaked, but it hasn't gone into hibernation," said Mark Hamrick, senior economic analyst for Bankrate.

Inflation keeps falling, but it is hard work. Does anyone really think trump would have put in the hard work to get down inflation? trump does not do work.

inflation is still worse than it has been since Jimmy Carter........don't pretend it isn't still a problem......this is just like when you idiots claim the federal deficit is going down when it isn't as atrociously high as it was the previous year.......

Last time it was this high was 1982, when Reagan was President, not Carter.

It is a real problem, that is really being solved, through real hard work. Does anyone think trump would be putting in the hard work?

It shant continue I think....the Fed has already hit a wall with interest rates.

And the banks tremble.

Buckle Up.

You might remember some people trying to tell you that confidence matters, trust matters, that betraying trust as our Failed Elite Class has done left and right is the road to Hell.

Volcker raised the prime rate to 21.5% to end the inflation of the 1970's. The current prime rate is 7.75%. In short, we are nowhere near the wall.

That being said, 7.75% is clearly working, so we might not want to go much higher than that. But if we needed to, we could go much, much higher.

America is 5% of the population, which gets 25% of the world resources. That hardly seems like hell to me.

There are experts, behind the scenes, keeping all sorts of things working. You do not even realize all the ways they save your life every day, but you think you know better than them.

Wasn't it Donald himself who promised to balance our budget and eliminate the national debt? It sure was, but that was just prior to his adding $8 trillion to our debt.
Your job was then to blame anyone and everyone else for another Trump failure.

What’s the ‘hard work’ being done by politicians that you believe some are doing but others aren’t regarding inflation?

Inflation is easier to deal with these days, at least on the Jeep.
A dashboard message tells us when the tires need air, and I've got lots of quarters in the car.

And with my man Brady now retired, the footballs should be OK as well.

Trump didn't have to.......he didn't cause any inflation during HIS presidency.....

Obama did, and Biden is on track to add more in four years and neither had the onset of Covid to deal with........
