An Indiana father was arrested after his toddler son was captured on live television over the weekend waving around a gun as he wandered in his apartment building, according to reports.

The shocking images of the 4-year-old boy walking with the gun in hand led to an investigation by the Beech Grove police, a department that appears on the show “On Patrol: Live,” which airs on REELZ.

Footage from a neighbor’s Ring doorbell appeared to show the boy, clad only in a pull-up, playing with the weapon and even pulling the trigger at one point that was shown on the docuseries on Saturday, according to WTHR.

With cameras rolling for the docuseries, Osborne, 45, told cops he was sick and asleep when his son left the home, but that he didn’t have a gun in the apartment due to previous felonies, the news station reported.

But the kid can decide if it's a boy or a girl but cant have a gun?

Give the kid his gun back. The police are infringing on his 2nd amendment rights. It does not make age a qualifier for having guns.

Felon in posession of a gun. We should have a law against that! Oh wait.:palm:

Felon in posession of a gun. We should have a law against that! Oh wait.:palm:

You are right, it should be against the law, but is not. It is perfectly legal for a felon to possess a gun in his house, so long as he does not own it. So Osborne simply can claim his wife/girlfriend owns the gun, and can keep a gun in his house.

Weirder still, in many states all the adults in the household can be felons, and the police will still have to return the gun to the household. We have a messed up system.

It is Indiana. It might be a misdemeanor, but a young child running around with a gun in Indiana is probably not a felony.

you are aware of the crafted legal concept of 'constructive possession', are you not?

I'm looking for the charges against the mom or the parents of the six-year-old who shot their teacher...Any updates on that one?

What, the kid just found it? I bet daddy's fingerprints were on it.

I take issue with a felony making gun ownership unlawful for life as long as it was a non-violent offense.
Back shortly after I got out of HS, an asshole who was busted for a DUI was given the option to set up
one of my classmates to sell him (actually a NARC) a 1/4 lb. of weed, which is a felony. This classmate
has since never been arrested for anything since (40 years) and does have a number of firearms, including
a Barret .50 BMG semi-auto sniper rifle. Would I squeal on him? Absolutely not, and neither would anyone
at our gun club because he has so often donated his time to make our club a better place. Not all felons
are criminals for the rest of their lives. Oh, by the way, he doesn't smoke weed anymore, hasn't since he
was busted. He did his time and has since been a model citizen, owning his own business until he retired.

The ATF has done it lots of times. How do you think that legal concept exists?

The ATF has found it impossible to get past the laws created by the NRA. For instance there are about a hundred straw buyers along the Mexican border that buy thousands of guns a year in private sales, and then claim they lost them. The guns appear in Mexico. In a normal country, that would be enough to send someone to prison, in America, not so much. There have been cases of private sales to people at prison release parties. Claiming the seller did not know the person was a felon, AT HIS PRISON RELEASE PARTY, is just silly.

the NRA does not create laws, congress does.

you have evidence that they were straw buys? Is it illegal to lose a firearm?
