Science is not involved here.
However, anyone that mutilates themselves or can't figure out what that plumbing on their own bodies is for have mental problems. There is nothing stable about such an individual. They deny or have destroyed their ability to reproduce (thankfully).

Science isn't a scientist. Science is a set of falsifiable theories. Science is not even people at all. It is not a government agency or institution, it is not a degree or license, it is not a group or academy, it is not an award or prize, it is not data or the observations that create data, it has no proofs since it is an open functional system, it does not use consensus or any elite voting bloc, it is not a paper, book, or magazine, it is totally atheistic, not caring if any god or gods exist or not, and is incapable of prediction (it must turn to mathematics, a closed functional system, for that). Science isn't knowledge.
Science is used as a buzzword more often these days, since most people never studied philosophy, which defines what science is and why.
Science is a set of falsifiable theories. No more. No less. It is nothing more. It is nothing less.
Now to the 'mentally unstable' topic:
This is another buzzword phrase, used to hurl insults.
However, since one of the functions built into a normal healthy body is the ability to reproduce, it can be argued (and quite successfully) that any individual that willingly mutilates themselves, or can't figure out what that plumbing is for, willingly deny this basic ability to reproduce, and even take active steps to destroy it within themselves. I do not consider such an individual 'stable' in any way, mentally or otherwise.

Here you are correct, except for the use of the word 'fact'.
A 'fact' is an assumed predicate. Nothing more. It is not a proof. It is not a Universal Truth. It is simply a shortcut in our language, somewhat like pronouns. The very moment when one disagrees with that predicate, it is no longer a fact. It is an argument. I have also seen people on JPP call speculations and contrivances 'facts'. This heavily misused word is too often used to declare a 'proof' or a 'Universal Truth'. It is neither.

Well put. Since he apparently has no problem with giving an unstable person a weapon and putting him out in the chaos of a battlefield with others that depend on him for their lives and a commander that is trying to win a war depending on his actions, that can only mean he has no clue.
