Taxes haven't been cut for the rich in almost 10 years, and I am not aware of any House proposal to cut them. This is another one of your dishonest lies you like to spew, because you can't run on your record. The fact remains, the wealthy have paid the same rate for nearly a decade, and no one has suggested cutting it. There IS opposition to RAISING it, because the so-called "wealthy" are those who are generating economic revenue and keeping our heads above water right now, and raising their tax rates will result in economic catastrophe, not just according to me, but according to Obama and the Democrats too...they said as much. See, you are caught between your rhetoric and reality here, and it is fun to watch you wiggle your way out of it. Keep squirming!

JGTRRA increased both the percentage rate at which items can be depreciated and the amount a taxpayer may choose to expense under Section 179, allowing them to deduct the full cost of the item from their income without having to depreciate the amount. In addition, the capital gains tax decreased from rates of 8%, 10%, and 20% to 5% and 15%.

Republican presidential hopefuls called for cuts in taxes and government regulations in campaign debate Saturday night...

Of all the curious rhetoric floating around both Washington and the campaign trail, the strangest may be the demand of many Republicans that Congress raise taxes for low-income working households even as it cuts taxes for the wealthy.

Republican presidential candidates are falling over themselves promising to cut your taxes. Well, probably not your taxes. Somebody else's taxes. Somebody rich.
