impotent old man threatens NKorea if they make threats~unlike the 1,000's in the past

rhetoric.

It surely means more then Obama's "strategic indifference" towards NK. Or Fienstein's calls for "talks"

SURVEY OF DECADES OF NEGOTIATIONS with North Koreans reveals that our circumspection regarding their regime type has done no good. Sure, they have very occasionally come to the table, but they have not kept agreements or changed course.
Kim dynasty uses negotiations as cover. North Korea plays to our weaknesses—which include our own academicians who apologize for the regime and blame its behavior on our “insults”; our belief that even totalitarians are “rational actors” who will abide by negotiated agreements; and our susceptibility to false promises and verbal games.
North Korea has used the negotiating process to play for time, violated every agreement, and steadily reinforced its nuclear program and bellicose posture toward its neighbors and the West.

You ignore the fact that ever since we turned tail and exited Korea, they had a substantial buildup of arms on the southern border. We never had the ability to force their hand on anything, without sacrificing S. Korea in the process.

We only choose fights with those we feel cannot defend themselves against our massive military. We now see that a bunch of nomads on camels can make us look impotent on the battlefield.

N. Korea has had the upper hand in this matter since the middle of last century. The only thing that has changed, is the fact that they now hold our mainland as hostage also.

Kim is correct....having nukes is the only way to get the U.S to take them seriously. Say what you want about Obama, and his predecessors. The only way to get Kim to act, is to provoke him. trump seems to have that covered.

us or them goof ball,
sometimes in life you have choices,
people like you don't have to make those choices, you would run and hide in a corner and soil yourself.

So that being said, this is a very serious matter, it's not political or some kind of game like you wish it to be.
Let's collectively hope Trump does the right thing, if he can talk this crazy fu@k down off the roof then good,
but if there is intelligence, or even just a gut feeling that there is a reality that Kim Jung may lob a nuke at someone,
then may God rest his wretched soul and those caught in the cross fire as Trump protects the USA.
Talk about delusional.

Well, it seems the old man got Bowl Cut to blink lol.

NK threatened Guam in response to Trump's saber rattling. In figurative terms, Trump has a loaded 12 gauge pointed at Bowl Cut and Bowl Cut threatened to shoot Trump's tires out.

No one has tried this before. Trump was forced to because Obama left him NK.
There is so much you don't understand

You know the really scary thing about this, the WH security didn't even know the President was going to make this speech and today they are out in force walking it back. The President is dangerously rogue.

No I don't, they do supply some aviation fuel but I doubt that they need the aggravation to step up and replace China.
i doubt it too, but pushing Russia around w/sanction after sanction does not make them sympathetic to our plight.
Although Putin is probably way too rational then to supply lil Kim

All hail the bone spur cowboy! Trumpy is the wests lil kim. How long before trumpster diver starts wearing medals on his suits?
He's so much like Kim senior, it's funny. Ol' Kim used to brag about being the best golfer in the world....achieving a hole in one on his very first shot. Who would dare to argue with him?

Likewise, trump makes bold claims that are easily disproved, but he has the pesky media and free speech as his adversary.

trump want's the U.S to be more like N. Korea.

but that is a Big Change is it not? Once they prove they have miniaturized
( and so far only the DNI makes that claim) and have survivability for their ICBM's then all bets are off.

You are assuming Kim is acting in a rational state actor. I am not convinced.
Obama's negotiations and Clinton's payments show me he is not

it's brinksmanship until it's not..it has to be played like that as very soon NK will be fully weaponized
Let's assume they are, because as I've already mentioned, we're powerless to call the shots.

What's the answer? The theory behind the Cold War was mutual annihilation. We agree that Kim is not stable. So what do you do? Stopping him is not possible if he's hell bent on starting a world war.

How could they know, he was ambushed by reporters.

It's saber rattling to affect a political outcome.

At stake is a new strategic order that benefits everyone in the region---or war on some scale.

Talk is easy and Orangetweet is full of it. Lies, but still talk.

Us or the South Koreans? What a fucking idiot.
