It's a matter of both degree and the public trust. The whole Hillary/Bernie thing pissed off a huge contingent of Democrats. IMO, that was a larger factor than underestimating the angst of the middle-class, blue collar Euro-American males in the old industry jobs which the Democratic agenda had attacked as outdated, polluted almost evil technologies.

While the Euro males switched to Republicans who felt their "pain", Bernie voters largely stayed home. I think that's what killed Trump in November 2020; his antics and his anti-American/pro-Authoritarian rhetoric turned off pro-American, conservative Americans who stayed home relative to the Democrats who turned out in droves.

Why else is the Republican strategy to disenfranchise American voters? The only reason a person or group seeks to prevent people from voting is because they are against democracy.

IMO, the smarter solution is to educate the public with truth, with reality, and then let them vote freely.

Trump's salient quality is his salesmanship. He's very good at it. Although I disagreed with his politics, his bigotry and hatred of others, I was duly impressed by his ability to work a crowd, to respond to them as they respond to him. He's very good on stage.

De Satan claims he wanted to punish Disney. If his law dissolves the districts, all the Reedy Creek district’s debt obligations, revenues and responsibilities would be transferred to Osceola and Orange counties and the small cities of Lake Buena Vista and Bay Lake. Sounds like guaranteed backfiring to me.

Allow me to inject some rationality and sanity here, this isn't over yet not by a long chalk. Disney are in a precarious position financially, their share price has tanked big time recently. I suspect that they will sit down with DeSantis and work out some form of words away from the media that will satisfy both sides, well most people anyway, Disney knows that he is not going anywhere and may well be president in 2024.

How about that, a white man with a wife and 3 children could actually win? Ironically his beautiful brunette wife used to be Black before she married Ron D.
