Imagine if…

Imagine if a Democratic Governor used his political power to punish a Christian bookstore for saying they were working to change abortion laws to ensure it were made illegal.

Republicans would (rightfully so) freak.

Agreed. It's the theocratic authoritarianism that changed the GOP into the hot mess the Republican Party is today. With that change came a lot of hypocrisy as you pointed out.

Yes. Exactly.

What do you suppose the board Communists would have to say about that?

They would be in an uproar for years, screaming Benghazi.

They got sold lies and many have too much ego to admit it.

Hello Jarod,

A crowd of people seems to be only about as mature as the least mature among them. Republicans demonstrate that principle quite well.

It is unbelievably shameful what they do.

Imagine if you stopped posting bullshit every day..

The good news is that this board, and the online world in general is WAY overrepresented by your type who fall for the lies daily and your type who are too afraid to do anything about what you pretend to believe. Just look at 1/6 they could not even plan an insurrection well. When caught and facing prison you almost all admit you were wrong and fell for Trumps lies and beg for forgiveness.

Imagine if Hilary funded Russian dezenformatsia called the Steele Dossier,
and fed it to the FBI under false pretenses. .oh wait..:palm:

Imagine if Trumppers did not have to make stuff up to counter the arguments against them.

Once the Republican party moved away from fiscal responsibility and personal accountability, they gave up the moral high ground.

It was really the only respectable position they ever had, in my opinion.

Newt helped them get rid of it, but it was the Reagan deal in 1980 that set it all in motion. Still, regardless of the Christian Coalition, the Republican party had a choice to stick with standard policy or go with religious indoctrination and a theocratic government.

I'm still curious to see what effect the Republican policy of COVID denial will have on voting results since most Republicans skew older.

The old Republican parties ideas for fiscal conservatism, small government and strong military still have a place in American politics, who will pick those up and run with them? I think that Party would replace what’s now called the Republican party.

Agreed, but who is pushing them? Certainly not the Republicans...unless there's a Democratic President. LOL

At this point, I think it's more likely the Republican Party will implode and be replaced by the Libertarian Party. What happens over this summer and the summer of '24 will show which way they are going.

Nobody is, that’s why I think there is an opportunity. The libertarians will not be taken seriously until they become more consistent. For some reason they are likely to support government involvement in abortion for example. They need to be libertarian socially as well as fiscally.

That requires growth and growth won't happen until the Republican party is on it's death bed.

With $1billion in debt, I wonder if they'll just shut down in Fla. and rely on Disneyworld as a destination vacation?

No, in the end they will negotiate a better deal for themselves here in Florida. Mark my words.

Imagine if all leftist shitbags in America just disappeared one day.

Imagine how great that would be! :D
