So yesterday about 2 or 3 PM, I got really tired, started running 'hot', my throat was sore and my nose was running--more than usual (it always runs, I'm either allergic to my yard or Florida). I don't get fevers and actually run a degree(+) lower than most humans. We've had no reported cases in the area.
We didn't have a thermometer. I felt hot but not continuously for about 8 hours. I purposefully did not go to the store for a thermometer until minutes before closing. It took me a few minutes to find them as I didn't want to call anyone over to help. 2 people were at checkout. I kept my head down, put the cc in the slot, no cash, and took the receipt from the end so the kid had no hand contact and got out of there.
I figured I'd take my temp, if it was high, I'd call 911 this AM and let them triage me over the phone and let them tell what to do. I'm in the age of 'cone of concern'. No temp x 3!! Still have a sore throat. And of course my nose is still running.
Just thought I would share that.
PS Our first case in the area was reported this AM.
